Hillary Clinton will laid out her economic policies, focusing on higher wages.

Clinton [aruged] that ensuring middle-class wages rise steadily along with executive salaries and company profits is the defining economic challenge of our time, her campaign said.

With one eye on the growing support for socialist Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, who is also seeking the Democratic nomination…

She will unveil specifics in a series of speeches in the coming weeks as Democrats seek more details of her plans on increasing the minimum wage, creating universal preschool and investing in infrastructure.

Putting some meat on the bones of her economic policy could divert the focus away from issues that are dragging on Clinton’s popularity, like the controversy over her use of a private email account while she was President Barack Obama’s secretary of state.

“I think substance is her friend on the campaign because she has credibility as a substantive person, with extensive experience. Thoughtful, innovative proposals are going to help her,” said Democratic strategist Bill Carrick.

I like Hillary, she is bright, tough and able to handle the teabaggers.

I don’t like Hillary. She is shifty, slick, and will be unable to handle herself in any debate with any constitutional loving Tea Party candidate

We will have to wait and see. If Jeb gets the nomination and Hillary is the nominee, yes she will win as the Republican base will sit the election out just like it did for Romney. If a conservative is the Repub nominee, Hillary will be toast.

Now this is the message many of us have been waiting to hear for years, I hope she stays on this message and delivers when elected.

    • burqa July 13th, 2015 at 23:48

I agree, and hope she has solid ideas on these policies.
Recently I heard she intended to make guns a central theme of her campaign and I think that would be a mistake.
Her husband was incredibly successful and we all benefited from the greatest economic boom of any of our lifetimes. I hope she intends to re-institute Clintonomics.

Don’t forget, Clintons first term was a disaster. Only when he did what the Republicans in Congress wanted him to do did success come his way.

    • John Tarter July 14th, 2015 at 00:03

The message you have been waiting for years for? I’m confused. What about the Bamster, didn’t HE have the message you were waiting for?

  3. Budda July 13th, 2015 at 12:02

She doesn’t have the ‘fire’ that Bernie has…she appears to always be a day late, a dollar short and catching up. She is still a lot better than any Republican.

Hilary has a lot of things, policies, and ideas to unveil but it all takes time. It is way too early to put all of your cards on the table. This is one Smart Lady and she has an excellent shaft backing her up.

    • Jimmy Fleck July 13th, 2015 at 19:56

“This is one Smart Lady and she has an excellent shaft backing her up.” Is Bill the shaft backing her up? :p

No. Bill and Hillary haven’t been together for like 30 years.

Well it has been a good slow start for Her, I like this and also her call to do something about Citizen United, campaign reform.
Both Her and Bernie seem to be hitting the correct accords early, not beating each other up over the same territory, but putting it out there for debate and discussion.
Which is why i like both at this point!

As we need to talk about the real stuff, and not the nonsense crap. which is anything that does nothing to advance America.

I’m not against raising the minimum wage, but it should only grow (and shrink) by GDP growth, presuming that the government total tax revenue sits consistently in the same area (About 40% of GDP). Just throwing money into the market without any increase in GDP only results in prices raising. Video related illustrates the concept nicely.
