Limbaugh: Obama Elected Only Because He’s Black

Posted by | July 11, 2015 08:00 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

He also attacked the Pope, upset that Pope Francis decried “unfettered capitalism.”

“Have you ever heard of unfettered communism? You ever heard of unfettered Marxism? What is this unfettered capitalism? It’s just more bastardization of language to denigrate the greatest economic system yet devised that creates prosperity for the most. And opportunity for everybody! And because it does that, it must be reviled, it must be impugned, it must be destroyed so you put the word unfettered in front of it.”
And that means “unregulated,” Limbaugh went on, adopting a mocking voice. “It has to be regulated, because capitalism is so unfair that it has to be regulated in order to make sure that the rich don’t just steal and take everything.”

As for President Obama:

“I think a lot of people voted for Obama for reasons totally unrelated to anything other than this country’s race problem and a desire people have to let the statement, “We elected a black president,” say so much about our ability to shed our so-called racist past.”

And how many people voted for McCain and Romney because they were old, white men?

    • Budda July 11th, 2015 at 08:17

      Exactly.

    • Larry Schmitt July 11th, 2015 at 08:28

He does know that Obama can’t run again, right?

    • Larry Schmitt July 11th, 2015 at 08:31

No, I heard he was planning on a constitutional amendment by executive order to allow him to run for unlimited terms. President for life!

    • Mike July 11th, 2015 at 10:17

Obviously Carla you don’t know about the FEMA camps and his plan to start race riots which will cancel the election…Martial Law is commin’ and they’re gonna take our guns away.

      • jybarz July 11th, 2015 at 20:37

You’ll rope few dopes with your t-shirt and that’ll be great fun.

  5. Larry Schmitt July 11th, 2015 at 08:36

This ignoramus obviously knows nothing about American history. Unregulated capitalism is what we had in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, that allowed the Robber Barons to make unlimited profits, at the expense of the workers. Long hours, no safety requirements, no benefits, no salary negotiations, no time off. This of course was before the hated unions came around and screwed everything up. That’s your unregulated capitalism, fat boy. And too many CEOs want to do the same thing today. That’s what the Pope was talking about.

  6. Larry Schmitt July 11th, 2015 at 08:37

“So-called racist past”? What can I possibly say to that?

  7. Warman1138 July 11th, 2015 at 09:05

Does Limbaugh still have unashamed corporate sponsors? Probably the makers of bathroom sanitary products with bleach.

  9. John Tarter July 11th, 2015 at 09:20

Come on, this is old news. A totally unqualified first term US Senator shut down the Clinton machine and won the presidency because of the color of his skin. He got the vote of 99.9% of the black community and all the young people who thought it would be “cool” to have a black President. That is the truth, it cannot be denied, and it is not racist to say so.

    • craig7120 July 11th, 2015 at 09:48

You and many did NOT vote for president Obama because of the same reason.

We’re better off than we were at the end of W’s administration, it doesn’t matter if you disagree, you’re not bright enough to know the difference. All that maters in your world is a republican theocracy

You lost twice, TWICE! because you’re stupid, and nominate like minded individuals, really it’s that simple, and guess what? you’re gonna lose again.
      LOL

      • Suzanne McFly July 11th, 2015 at 11:52

Actually they lost thrice, jebby helped his big bro steal the last one.

    • jybarz July 11th, 2015 at 09:50

Hey, Tart, are you jealous that President Obama is an excellent human being and President of USA while being black? Most racists can’t stomach it, you too?

      • WXYZ July 11th, 2015 at 10:40

So your point is that anyone who disagrees with the policies of the current administration is a racist…right? So, because he is black, (or half black anyway) we have to agree with every policy he makes or else we are racist? Right? That seems to be the point you are trying to make. Hmmm. By that logic, any black man that ever disagreed with any policy of any previous president was a racist. Right? Are we on the same track here?

        • arc99 July 11th, 2015 at 10:48

not anyone.. just the people who question the President’s eligibility to serve, refer to the First Lady as a Wookie and accuse the President of lying about his religion.

        • jybarz July 11th, 2015 at 20:20

It’s your point not mine. Nobody here says he or she agrees with everything the Obama administration does. But, fortunately for the country, almost everything they have done are for the betterment of the people, including you, and the country.
As you seem to be a Master Distorter, I repeat that I said ‘almost’.

      • WXYZ July 11th, 2015 at 10:41

So I assume you’ll be voting for Ben Carson in the next election. Otherwise, you’re a racist.

        • jasperjava July 11th, 2015 at 13:55

By that “logic”, your failure to vote for President Obama makes YOU a racist.

Jybarz correctly said that President Obama is an excellent human being. Sadly, the same cannot be said of very many Republicans. Too much ignorance, hate, and greed among their ranks. Just read the sad posts that conservatives leave whenever any topic related to politics is discussed.

        • majii July 11th, 2015 at 19:01

I’m black, and I wouldn’t vote for Carson if I were given one million dollars to do so. The man was an excellent doctor, but he’s a lousy politician. You make the same mistake many on the right right make about Black Americans and their voting patterns because you assume that the only reason we voted for Obama is because he’s black like us. WRONG. We voted for him for the same reason you probably voted for the candidate of your choice in 2008 and 2012—because you thought he was the best choice to lead the nation. You want to insult our intelligence and act as our “father figure” by reaching the inaccurate conclusion that we voted for Obama because of his race and by communicating to us that you should be able to choose the candidate we should vote for.

Newsflash! Most of the many other Black Americans I know also think Carson is a political neophyte and a joke.

          • whatthe46 July 11th, 2015 at 19:05

and i’m one of those who thinks carson is an ass. furthermore, if that were the case than good (although it isn’t) because we chose wisely. twice.

        • jybarz July 11th, 2015 at 20:06

You got it wrong just like any asswipe gets it.
Are you John Tarter in another name or just as distorted as he is?

    • arc99 July 11th, 2015 at 10:34

John Kerry got 88% of the black vote.

Al Gore got 91% of the black vote.

According to the polling surveys compiled by the Roper Center at the University of Connecticut, Barack Obama got 93% of the black vote, very much in line with the percentage won by Al Gore.

Did black folks vote for Kerry and Gore because of the color of their skin?

If first term Senator Rand Paul secures the nomination for the GOP, will you refer to Sen. Paul as unqualified since he is also a first term Senator?

Your opinions are not facts and you demonstrate the all too common right wing trait of being incapable of understanding that basic concept of logic. Yes it is most certainly racist to say that the President was elected because of the color of his skin, since it is a damnable lie. As far as I am concerned, people who propagate a lie that a black person has achieved their position in life because of the color of their skin and not because of skill or talent is about as abominally racist as you can get. So this 63 year old black man who had a front seat to America at its very worst, says to you John Tarter take your ignorance and shove it.

As far as your opinions about the President’s record, given your demonstrated lack of honesty about the black vote, it is not at all surprising that your jaundiced irrational rant about the President’s tenure is another steaming pile of bullsh*t.

      • whatthe46 July 11th, 2015 at 14:12

you don’t really expect a coherent reply do you? but, i love it all the same. session is in.

    • Allison Renée Alworth July 11th, 2015 at 14:37

      Still trolling, Johnny?

Maybe most people in 2008 looked at the president that we had then, looked at our economic freefall, and the Republican ticket for that year, and saw that Barack Obama was a much better choice to lead this nation. “Lying, duplicity, corruption, cronyism and constitutional malfeasance?” Are you sure you’re not talking about the previous administration? Lying, like lying about WMDs in Iraq, and the subsequent deaths of well over 100,000 people? Duplicity, like exposing CIA agents? Corruption, like the no-bid contracts to former VP employers? Cronyism, like naming your pal as the Attorney General because he agrees that torture is okay? Constitutional malfeasance, because Barack Obama created executive orders just like every other president before him but fewer than most – but because you don’t like him, his orders are in violation of the constitution? And don’t give me the crap that “Bush is old news, we’re talking about Obama, we’re talking about Obama’s sins” – Obama was elected fairly on his qualifications and while he’s far from perfect, he’s hardly the train wreck that McCain-Palin or Romney-Ryan would have been. Or maybe you’d be happier if we’d overlook the 60+ months of job growth, cutting unemployment almost in half, providing affordablke healthcare for millions, and all of this with Republicans opposing him and his agenda since 1/20/2009.

And as you said, Johnny, this is old news- it’s just that you were a victim of The Selective Memory Process.

    • bpollen July 11th, 2015 at 18:52

Tater… you fall into the same trap that all racists fall into. You view reality thru a racist worldview, and then say that what you glean from this is not racist. Phil Robertson claims to not be a racist, but also believes the “darkies” were happier in the Jim Crow South. Cliven Bundy claims not to be a racist, but he believes that blacks may have been much better off under slavery. The KKK claims that they are not a racist organization.

Please provide some substantiation for your claim that the deciding factor in the election victory was “skin color.” Your claim of 99.9% is bogus. And I know that you didn’t poll voters yourself.

  16. Obewon July 11th, 2015 at 12:28

Limbaugh CALLER on Rusty losing 5 of the past 6 popular POTUS votes: Thanks, Rush. Rush, listen, I voted Republican, and I didn’t — really didn’t want to see Obama get in office. But, you know, Rush, you’re one reason to blame for this election, for the Republicans losing.

First of all, you kept harping about voting for Hillary. The second big issue is the — was the torture issue. I’m a veteran. We’re not supposed to be torturing these people. This is not Nazi Germany, Red China, or North Korea. There’s other ways of interrogating people, and you kept harping about it — “It’s OK,” or “It’s not really torture.” And it was just more than waterboarding. Some of these prisoners were killed under torture.

And it just — it was crazy for you to keep going on and on like Levin and Hannity and Hewitt. It’s like you’re all brainwashed! http://crooksandliars.com/john-amato/rush-limbaugh-gets-pwned-caller-you-han

The transcript doesn’t say people only voted for Obama cuz he’s black

It says a lot of people did – which is probably true

Multiculturalism is a failure, especially under western administrations

    • Anomaly 100 July 11th, 2015 at 16:03

It’s not multiculturalism that’s a failure. It’s people like you.

    • bpollen July 11th, 2015 at 18:44

      “Multiculturalism is a failure…”

      Cite evidence.

      • Terry "Death to Equality" Xu July 11th, 2015 at 18:49

        America
        and every other western country

The only country that does multiculturalism somewhat well is Singapore – and that’s only because they’re kinda fascist about it

        • bpollen July 11th, 2015 at 20:39

That’s just more generalization and is entirely without evidence. Please present something OTHER than blank statements from you. Remember that you have provided bupkis to lend your pronouncements any credibility at all.

          • Terry "Death to Equality" Xu July 11th, 2015 at 20:43

why is that a blank statement? I could go to any western country, claim that someone was racist towards me, and the whole room would freeze – to say nothing of your media hysterics

you just don’t get this kind of nonsense in more homogeneous countries

            • bpollen July 11th, 2015 at 21:01

Blank statement. Devoid of facts. As is your reply. You claim this, you claim that, you support nothing. Give me something that comes from a reputable source that verifies or corroborates anything you say.

And if somebody was racist towards you, the nation would not stop. Some people would agree with it, some people would be torn because they are against racism but it is YOU they are being racist towards, some people would decry the racism, and THE REST OF THE COUNTRY COULD’NT GIVE A SHITE LESS!

              • Terry "Death to Equality" Xu July 11th, 2015 at 21:07

alright now you’ve just moved into butthurt territory

Is it even disputable that the Western world freaks out over racism and other “bigotries”? Do you also need proof the sky is blue? Clearly your country does care or none of the stories like Trayvon Martin et al would be on national news

I believe the social justice crowd has a word for your behavior – Sealioning

                look it up

                • bpollen July 11th, 2015 at 21:18

Again, no facts. I disagree with your statements. I ask you to support your contentions. You send more personal opinion instead. Please provide ANYFRICKINGTHING that does not come direct from the feverish imagination of Terry “death to intelligence” xu! Otherwise you simply look like a loud-mouthed fool. And I will make a prediction: You will reply with more opinion you claim is fact and present no actual facts. Thereby, you prove yourself to be nothing more than a loud-mouthed fool.

If you want people to take you seriously, be serious. If you want people to think you’re a troll, keep up your current tactic. Which, as I have said before, consists of Everybody-look-at-meeeeeeeeeeeeee!

                  • Terry "Death to Equality" Xu July 11th, 2015 at 21:29

Ok I see you’ve been backed into a corner and are now just flailing about

is your media hysteria over race not a fact? Very well, the next time one of your countrymen loses it over “the bigotries” you may make sure to ask him for a peer reviewed journal as evidence first

PS: the nice equalists on this site respond to me because they know i’m dead serious about inequality

Could not be more obvious folks

                    • bpollen July 11th, 2015 at 21:47

Yeah, no facts. I’m flailing about because I keeeeeeeeeeep asking for facts, and you provide none. I’m losing it because I keep asking for corroboration, and you provide none. Yeah, that is SO much more believable than you running off at the mouth because you <u<have no facts.

                    • Terry "Death to Equality" Xu July 11th, 2015 at 21:56

                      Pigeon chess

Refers to having a pointless debate with somebody utterly ignorant of the subject matter, but standing on a dogmatic position that cannot be moved with any amount of education or logic, but who then proceeds to knock over all the pieces, crap on the board, and then struts around proclaiming victory.

                      Facts? Cites? Studies?

I challenge everything you type as pure fiction. You seem strangely incapable of supporting anything – you just resort to attacking the messenger. Empty rhetoric, empty mind. Objective observers would think “What the hell’s wrong with this death to equality troll?”

I provided the actual definition of the word, you say that the colloquial definition is preferable. I don’t know where the hell you are coming from, but the country that you are talking about doesn’t use the colloquial definition as a synonym for “social.” Feel free to show evidence otherwise.

Yeah, a liberal is left to… show you to be a fact-free fool.

                    • Terry "Death to Equality" Xu July 11th, 2015 at 22:27

maybe it’s because you’re american – politics is mostly money and power in other places, not social issues

it’s true i dont plan to spend any time digging through sites for statistics
If you truly believe Western sensitivity over race/gender etc is “Pure fiction”, well so be it – you’ll have your own countrymen to convince first

    • majii July 11th, 2015 at 18:51

You continue to reach flawed conclusions not based on facts and evidence but based on what you think/believe, which is why the GOP lost the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections. I’ve been voting in presidential elections since 1972. I’m black and I voted for white presidential candidates for the same reason I voted for Obama in 2008 and 2012—his vision of the nation was more aligned with my vision than that of McCain and Romney. What I’d like you to explain thoroughly is why between 1972 and 2008 I voted for white politicians for president, and why I did not vote for Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton in the presidential primaries during those years. You’re unable to explain the way I and millions of other POC voted in the past because your basic premise as to why we voted for Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012 is based on 100% bullsh*t and nothing else..

      • Terry "Death to Equality" Xu July 11th, 2015 at 18:59

        you’re an old timer

Were any of the serious candidates back then black? I find it hard to believe anyone thought Jackson or Sharpton would ever have a chance, they’re more like the fringe candidates that pop up for the primaries – meaning that you would’ve been picking between two whites in the end anyway

Maybe you didn’t do it, but I’m guessing a lot of ppl factor in race affiliation when voting – whether pro-white or anti-white. Besides, racial affinity in voting isn’t necessarily a bad thing – i wouldn’t judge you negatively even if you did

        • majii July 11th, 2015 at 19:05

WRONG. Black Americans are more politically savvy than most Americans believe. Our history compels us to vote for the candidate that most represents our interests and the one who will represent the majority of Americans. We view the U.S. as a national community and not as a nation whose politicians should represent special interest groups or one race, socioeconomic, religious, ethic group over another.

          • Terry "Death to Equality" Xu July 11th, 2015 at 19:09

            lol,
I don’t know if that’s bluster or just wishful thinking, but everybody says that in principle

But I’ve never met a demographic of people who did NOT act on their own racial and ethnic self-interests, and there’s no reason to believe blacks are somehow above it all. If you are genuine about your convictions, then you would be an outlier

            • F_cons July 11th, 2015 at 19:11

You’ve met a demographic of people? You’ve had many people into your basement to discuss anything. Seriously, you just posted that BS!

you state such b.s. every president before Obama have been white or haven’t you noticed? and black people were voting before he ran for president or did you somehow not know this fact. this is why people like you aren’t taken seriously. you’re just too fk’n ignorant.

and just because Obama was a serious candidate and extremely intelligent, was offering the country exactly what it needed, black people should have not voted for him even though he was the best candidate? how stupid are you? for the record, white people voted for him too. are you saying they only voted for him because he black? TWICE!!!!

                    • Terry "Death to Equality" Xu July 11th, 2015 at 21:53

                      That’s a good question

Unfortunately, Western cultural norms and values does not know how to keep itself within its borders. It constantly goes around the world holding up things like equality, tolerance, and diversity as infallible goods that all societies need to pursue

I disagree – I believe in nationalism. It would be fine if the West didn’t push its ideas onto others, but since they do, I’m gonna take the battle to their own turf

There’s no reason to dislike me tho – I’d wager I harbor far less hatred than most of the people here

                    • beulahmo July 11th, 2015 at 22:15

Your capacity for hatred is of no interest to me.

Actually, your feelings about American social goals — namely, equality, tolerance, and diversity — are of no interest to me either.

Now that I think about it, I don’t care a whit about your preference for nationalism, either. In America, you’re free to do all the talking you like to persuade others to see things your way. Go for it. That’s how we roll in this country. Every person’s viewpoint is free to open expression and competition with all other viewpoints, so that all of us can evaluate them and agree with ones we like best. As long as your words “…take the battle to their own turf…” are figurative in nature (i.e., meaning that you are going to compete with others in making persuasive arguments), we’ll coexist, but I’ll denounce your agenda and your intentions.

“The transcript doesn’t say people only voted for Obama cuz he’s black. It says a lot of people did – which is probably true”

Right Terry. I guess that explains the meteoric rise of Alan Keyes. But thanks for your input, always interesting to get the fascist take on things.

      • Terry "Death to Equality" Xu July 11th, 2015 at 20:01

If Alan Keyes had been a liberal he would’ve appealed more to blacks than if he had been white – the political angle doesn’t preclude the racial one

        but you’re welcome

        • FDRliberal July 11th, 2015 at 20:48

“If Alan Keyes had been a liberal he would’ve appealed more to blacks than if he had been white – the political angle doesn’t preclude the racial one”

You admit right there that political considerations far outweigh race for black voters. The fact is black voters favor liberals, regardless of the skin color.

A clear example is the SC Senate race where black Tea Partier Tim Scott received a an utterly laughable 10% of the black vote. Black SC voters instead overwhelingly favored his white female opponent.

Obama won the Democratic primary in 2008 primarily because because (1) he had a great campaign staff, (2) he is a distinctly charismatic politician, (3) he opposed the Iraq War (in stark contrast to Clinton). Clinton would have won were those three things not true.

Obama won the general election for the three aforementioned reasons and and also because the highly unpopular George Bush was such a spectacular failure and the economy was a disaster.

Race was no where near to the top of this list of reasons why he won either race, although right-wing extremists continue to like to claim so. That’s because they believe others see the world the way they do.

          • Terry "Death to Equality" Xu July 11th, 2015 at 20:56

But they favor a black liberal more than a white liberal

Plus liberalism is seen as more beneficial to minority race interests – likely why most minorities vote left in the first place while calling black republicans uncle toms

Meaning that race as a factor likely plays a very large role in multicultural societies, hence the need to criticize it. What you call right wing extremism is more like normal tribalism, and it is this tribalism the left depends on to rally minority groups

            • Hans Meyer July 11th, 2015 at 21:15

“Plus liberalism is seen as more beneficial to minority race interests – likely why most minorities vote left in the first place…”

You mean people vote for what they consider their best interests?

              Well, except for…

              What’s the Matter With Kansas

            • MagnaDave July 11th, 2015 at 21:24

But they favor a black liberal more than a white liberal”

Hans Meyer just explained to you, simply and succinctly, why race had nothing to do with President Obama’s victory.

Your pseudo-intellectual ramblings do not distract from the fact that you missed his point entirely.

To be fair, you may have understood his point but, unable to refute it, you thought you might try to amuse us with a song and dance, instead.

“Do liberals not profess to care more for minorities?”

It isn’t necessary to “profess” any such thing.

Just look at how African-Americans (and the other two largest minority groups in America) feel about that:

Almost three years ago Americans went to the polls to re-elect President Obama (only the 4th president since the First World War to be elected and then re-elected with a majority of the votes cast).

                  In that election:

                  93% of African-American voters voted for the Democratic candidate;

70% of Hispanic voters voted for the Democratic candidate; and,

73% of Asian-American voters voted for the Democratic candidate.

I suggest you try to live in the now. Otherwise, well, you just come across as stupid.

How are you this Saturday evening? I was enjoying being outside until a swarm of mosquitoes started feeding on me. It’s so humid here I feel like I’m in the Southeast ;-)

                    • MagnaDave July 11th, 2015 at 22:43

I’m doing OK. Still way too hot and humid here during the day but there was a nice lightning show a few miles away, some breezes, and even a drop of rain (which is more than we’ve had in quite a while). Not kidding, lol. One drop of rain fell on me and maybe a couple more nearby.

Luckily, mosquitoes don’t seem to be an issue here. I remember them from NJ, though. One joke says that they are the state bird and another says that one landed at the airport and was so big that the ground crew tried to refuel it :-).

                    • expect resistance July 11th, 2015 at 22:54

In MN we joke that they are the state bird too. You are lucky you don’t have to deal with the insect vampires. They have been epic this summer. It’s summer and no snow so I’m a happy camper ;-)

                    • MagnaDave July 11th, 2015 at 22:55

Now you are taunting me ;-).

My DREAM is to live somewhere where it snows in summer.

The summers are brutal; hot, humid, and lots of bugs. A saving grace is being able to escape to the lakes and rivers to cool off. What about Colorado?

I was born in Colorado and lived there a few years ago. It’s a beautiful state but, for various reasons, I wasn’t happy there. Denver just wasn’t my cup of tea. One of the smaller towns would have been much better for me, I imagine.

What about Maine? Do you know Wildkitty? She’s in Maine.

I think that I would love Maine once that weirdo governor is gone.

Nederland! It snows by the feet, and cool in the summer a lot of the time. But it is kind of windy. P.S. Hi! I was checking ER’s comments, and came to reply. Always trying to lure you back to CO. :-)

                    • MagnaDave July 13th, 2015 at 19:36

That sounds wonderful! All you have to do is pay my way (a humble request), and I will be there ASAP.

                    • Julie G July 14th, 2015 at 01:28

I would if I could, but being retired on a fixed budget…it would be tough. But if I get a windfall, you will be the first I think of:-)

“But they favor a black liberal more than a white liberal”

In the 2013 Mayoral New York primary, black NY voters in fact split their vote equally between African American candidate Bill Thompson and white candidate Bill DeBlasio, both liberal Democrats. According to your theory Thompson should have easily won the black vote.

And please note: DiBlasio’s wife was not running for Mayor.

I’m not saying that race doesn’t ever play a factor in elections, but it is vastly exagerrated, especially by the right-wing, and is easily outweighed by political considerations.

              • Terry "Death to Equality" Xu July 11th, 2015 at 21:49

de Blasio is clearly more leftist though so they probably saw a premium in him
What if Thompson had been equally radical?

but if you agree then we agree

                • FDRliberal July 11th, 2015 at 22:13

“de Blasio is clearly more leftist though so they probably saw a premium in him.”

Your guesswork and speculation is duly noted. In contrast, I have given you hard data to back up my statements. Notwithstanding, your reply once again admits the importance of political considerations and policy over race.

                  • Terry "Death to Equality" Xu July 11th, 2015 at 22:16

well i never disagreed with that – only that political leanings are inherently race based so it’s not such a small consideration

you don’t think de Blasio was more leftist?

            • Frito Pendejo July 11th, 2015 at 21:47

And conservatism is seen as more beneficial to whites’ interests – likely why most whites vote right in the first place while calling white liberals commies.

What we call right wing terrorism, you call slightly right of center. What you call left wing terrorism, we call a thing that barely exists these days. The Weathermen are long gone, whereas right wing extremism is just hitting its stride.

                Careful, my friend @disqus_QpF4VZeqnS:disqus :

You’re dealing with facts with someone who is, obviously, immune to such reality.

              • FDRliberal July 11th, 2015 at 22:19

America’s current left wing extreme consists of three elderly Communists with a basement office in Decatur, adorned with yellowing Gus Hall posters.

      “Multiculturalism is a failure…”

For only the fourth time since before the end of the First World War, a president was elected and then subsequently re-elected with a majority of the votes cast:

      FDR (1932, 1936, 1940 and 1944)

      Ike (1952 and 1956)

      Reagan (1980 and 1984)

      Obama (2008 and 2012)

So much for “Multiculturalism is a failure…”.

      • FDRliberal July 11th, 2015 at 22:30

Obama’s victory in 2012 was even more impressive considering the fact that unemployment was still 7.9% at the time. Until 2012, only FDR had been re-elected with such grim jobless stats.

And of course multiculturalism is not only not a failure, but is in fact one of the best things about America and a reason for its strength.

        • Hans Meyer July 11th, 2015 at 22:35

“…multiculturalism is not only not a failure, but is in fact one of the best things about America and a reason for its strength.”

A fact that seems beyond the intellectual grasp of certain posters here.

Excellent observation, my friend @FDR_liberal:disqus .

Keep playing the race card, Limbaugh. You’re alienating even more Americans by doing it, and it’s not just Black Americans you’re alienating. What Limbaugh and others who believe this are ignoring are the many white presidents People of Color voted for in the past, and the fact that those who voted for Barack Obama did so for the same reason they voted for white presidents in the past—the white candidates’ vision for the nation aligned more with their vision than those of the other white presidential candidates who ran against them. A major reason the U.S. can’t as Limbaugh claims, “shed our so-called racist past” is because of people like himself who never pass up an opportunity to make divisive comments based on race. Instead of asking those who voted for Barack Obama why they did so, he goes straight to crazy and ridiculous and says it’s because he identifies himself as black. Simple minds will seek simple answers to questions.

No they won’t if your argument is right, but it’s wrong.
