Debate began today in the South Carolina Senate to consider whether or not the state will remove the Confederate flag from the statehouse in Columbia. But one GOP State Senator decided it would be a great time to instead talk about same-sex marriage, thereby derailing the debate.

Senator Lee Bright began his ridiculous tirade by saying:

I watch the White House be lit up in the abomination colors! It is time for the church to rise up…. Romans chapter 1 is clear, the Bible is clear. This nation was founded on Judeo-Christian principles and they are under assault by men in black….READ MORE at  LiberalAmerica.org

Abomination Colors? Sounds like a great name for a punk band. First concert in Charleston. Everything for these fools comes back to same sex marriage. Just like everything back to the beginning of time can be blamed on President Obama. And possibly before.

I think he should have taken it a step further and claimed “religious persecution”. Not that the confederate flag has anything to do with religious beliefs (well, except maybe for the KKK), but at least he’ll keep in line with the whine of the day. Gay marriage is soooo yesterday.

” … the devil is taking control of this land and we’re not stopping him!”

What about Sauron and the orcs? Shouldn’t we be just as worried about them taking over the world?

Look up Lee Bright’s entire record. He is associated with the outright racist-white nationalist League of the South and Council of Conservative Citizens and with elements of the Ku Klux Klan. He was the Tea Party primary candidate last year against Sen. Lindsay Graham alleging Graham was a liberal (!!!) and a RINO and also a homosexual. Lee Bright should consider himself quite fortunate that blacks and homosexuals in SC are so law-abiding that he is still alive. I am not insinuating that he should not be-just sayin’.
