I suppose it was to be expected.

When the 6-3 ruling on the Obamacare subsidies came down from the Supreme Court this morning, the reaction from the right wing of the country started up, and they were filled with anger, lies, distortions, and flat out hate speech.

In other words, some things never change.

All you had to do was take a peek at Twitter and Facebook to see just how agitated the right wingers were. Here are a few of the posts that caught my eye:

“Silver lining: #Obamacare CAN’T be fixed, contrary to @GOP blather. Now go for #FullRepeal (which our reps promised in the 1st place). #tcot“

That’s the spirit! Keep pretending you can ever repeal a law that is helping millions of people…READ MORE at LiberalAmerica.org

As I said elsewhere…repeal of ACA will be a major plank for 2016 when they are positive they will have the WH and control congress to boot

      “Get over it losers!”

Always taking the moral high ground, I see. Name calling causes demonization and resentment on both sides of the aisle, and needs to stop.

While I don’t agree with the healthcare law (not that I don’t think healthcare is a universal good; it is, but I think it was poorly designed and implemented), I don’t get why conservatives are upset. The Supreme Court was simply looking at the law and trying to interpret what it was supposed to mean. Considering the people who wrote it are still alive, I don’t understand why they even bothered looking at it, as it was pretty obvious what the ruling would be.

The conservative base has been fooled and tooled into a political force/weapon decades in the making. And now another attempt has started to repeal the ACA regardless of the reality of presidential veto. All for the purpose to placate and manipulate the conservative base to serve the needs of the few.
