Rand: Confederate Flag ‘Inescapably A Symbol Of Human Bondage And Slavery’
Rand Paul isn’t pussyfooting around like most of the other Republican candidates.
…Paul says he believes the Confederate battle flag is “inescapably a symbol of human bondage and slavery” and needs to go.
“No, I agree, I think the flag is inescapably a symbol of human bondage and slavery, and particularly when people use it obviously for murder and to justify hated so vicious that you would kill somebody I think that that symbolism needs to end, and I think South Carolina is doing the right thing,” Paul told radio host Jeff Kuhner on WKRO radio on Tuesday morning.”
Paul added it was obviously a decision for South Carolina to make but said if he were in South Carolina he would vote to get rid of it. Paul said for every African-American the flag is a symbol of slavery and it was time to put in a museum.

Rand, that was a good pandering decision but it will not erase your racist beliefs and wish that Jim Crow laws would be reinstated

I am not aware of his racist beliefs and advocacy for jim crow. Can you provide a source with some evidence of your claims?

of course you aren’t, you feel they are normal and correct and do not see racism as bad and ignorant

I completely agree with Rand’s statements. That said, people are entitled to their own beliefs, and banning a flag will only make more people want one, while not actually discouraging the beliefs that flag represents at all.

They’re not banning people from owning one. They’re just banning the state from flying it over public property.
