Republicans Consider Extending Obamacare Subsidies If Court Strikes Them

Posted by | June 4, 2015 10:00 | Filed under: Politics

Republicans, who have no plan of their own, are finally beginning to realize that if the Supreme Court strikes down Obamacare subsidies their constituents will be left out in the cold, health-wise.

While working on their own ideas, Freedom Caucus members are also open to something like Sen. Ron Johnson’s (R-Wis.) idea to temporarily extend subsidies.

Johnson’s plan would extend ObamaCare subsidies through August 2017, when he hopes there will be a Republican president, while also repealing the law’s individual and employer mandates.

Baically they are delaying their wish to repeal HC for American citizens in the hopes that the teabaggers on medicare and the rest of the low info fox slop watchers will vote for them.

A half-ass fix-it job, yup, that sounds like a GOP plan. Why do it right, when you can do it wrong?

how cynical can you get. Extend enough of it to keep the masses from blaming you for destroying the system, while gutting the part that makes it work. Since it will probably hold together until the election, hope that you can have all of congress and the president republican so you can claim it isn’t working and repeal the entire thing.
