Jeb: ‘Hard To Imagine…How We Are Going To Succeed’ With Same-Sex Marriage

Posted by | May 17, 2015 22:00 | Filed under: Top Stories

Jeb Bush has come out against the right to same-sex marriage.

Speaking with “The Brody File” on the Christian Broadcasting Network, Bush described marriage between a man and a woman as “a sacrament,” one of the seven significant ceremonies of the Catholic faith.

“It’s at the core of the Catholic faith, and to imagine how we are going to succeed in our country unless we have committed family life, a committed child-centered family system, is hard to imagine,” he said. “So, irrespective of the Supreme Court ruling — because they are going to decide whatever they decide, I don’t know what they are going to do — we need to be stalwart supporters of traditional marriage.”

I think even a lot of his followers are wishing he would say that.

Bush described marriage between a man and a woman as “a sacrament,”
Some conservatives really, REALLY like sacraments.

since there was no gay marriage then, whose fault would he say that is?

guess it all depends on what you consider success?

    EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL
THE RIGHT TO CHOSE FOR YOURSELF
    THE RIGHT TO PERSONAL BELIEFS

all look pretty darn well to me on a nation’s resume.

    Oh, yes.

Here in Iowa, we’ve had gay marriage for SIX years. And it has just destroyed everything.

You hadn’t heard that? Well, I hadn’t either.

I agree because Jeb is just talking about failed GOP ideology to rightwing bigots and they clearly won’t succeed with their hate.

The gop is gonna run on the gay marriage is bad platform? Ha! Losers. We must convince the defenders of the gop that this is a brilliant strategy. I’m not quite sure how to do this without a smirk.
If dems lose this election it will be an epic failure, not seen since the Dewey campaign

I don’t care if Hillary causes you to get migraines, take an aspirin and VOTE!!

Imagine how bad things would get if this buffoon were to be elected president. I shudder at the thought of that happening…

That’s right, Jeb. Run on that. And if you’re elected you can change the law to “civil rights for some”. After that’s done, you’ll be free to plan the invasion of those godless sinner countries who have same sex marriage.

Here’s how you can succeed, Governor, in 3 easy steps:
1: Do nothing, until a gay couple invites you to their wedding.
2: Go to the wedding, or send a gift If you’re unavailable that day.
3: Quietly pat yourself on the back for having succeeded at gay marriage.
For extra points, when the press freaks out about it, shrug and say, “It was the right thing to do.”
