Jeb Clarifies–Again

Jeb Bush took a third swipe at expressing is position on the Iraq war for the fifth time this week.

In his clearest declaration yet on his feelings about his brother’s invasion of Iraq, the former Florida governor said Thursday that “knowing what we know now, …I would not have engaged.”

“I would not have gone into Iraq,” he said.

The comments marked the fifth time this week that Bush sought to explain his position on Iraq — a controversy that began Monday with a muddied expression of support for the war. Bush later tried to clean up the mess by calling the query — one many believe he should have anticipated — a “hypothetical,” and by Wednesday, he acknowledged he would have done things differently in Iraq.

On Thursday, Bush argued that the invasion — though perhaps inspired by faulty intelligence — had been beneficial, saying the world was “significantly safer” without Saddam Hussein in power.

With these fabulous communication skills he’d make a wonderful leader.

Don’t dismiss him, too readily. His brother was a MUCH worse communicator and did 8 years in the big chair.

True, but he did have that ‘ol boy charm, Jeb does not – however that is a very scary thought.

While I tend to lean right, the idea of Jeb in the White House is… disconcerting.

What about with what Cheney, Rumsfeld, et al knew then? The real people in power knew the truth then, but they lied, obfuscated and hid the it in order to get more people to be in favor of it. So, tell us Jeb, would you have gone to war knowing what President Cheney knew then?

Student confronts Jeb Bush: ‘Your brother created ISIS’ As he was signing autographs afterwards, Ziedrich — who identified herself as a member of the College Democrats at the University of Nevada — challenged him on the issue of who’s responsible for the rise of ISIS.

“It was when 30,000 individuals who were part of the Iraqi military were forced out — they had no employment, they had no income, and they were left with access to all of the same arms and weapon,” she said. “Your brother created ISIS!”

“Is that a question?” a flustered Bush responded.

“You don’t need to be pedantic to me, sir,” Ziedrich shot back.

“‘Pedantic’?” he asked, pretending to be impressed by her vocabulary. “Wow.”

GWB was our president for 8 years, Jeb Bush could follow in his footsteps.
GWB had no band of brothers, Kerry did.
GWB seemed so uncomfortable in front of the cameras, he stammered his way through.

Jeb Bush could get in there, despite all this.

Never misunderestimate the power of having the entire media on the side of the Republican party.

Translation: “I asked my team of spin doctors to come up with a bunch of rationalizations to cover my stupid ass, and now I’m trying each one to see what sticks.”

Not even the bigoted Koch Brothers want fools like Jeb / Cheney’s 4th term delivering another GOP Great Recession record low everything, since (R) Hoover’s great depression.

Like his brother, Jeb is not smart enough to be president.

But, thanks to the activist conservative Supreme Court, crazy billionaires pick the GOP candidates now.
