Before the awful mid terms, there was a republican diabetic woman in KY who was joyous because she FINALLY had health care for the first time in her life.
When asked if she was still going to vote for McConnell, who wanted to remove her aid, she said yes and that if it meant she would lose her health care, it was no big deal.

You chose not to get it to “stick to your principles”, right?

It’s not so much ignorance as being stubborn. He admits he knew the act required him to sign up but he’s been brainwashed by the conservatives to think that the Affordable Care Act is Obama’s Evil Game. He KNEW about it but failed to act because he and a whole mass of non-thinkers decided they wouldn’t go along with whatever Obama enacted. He may not deserve blindness but he is paying dearly for his “Anything-Obama-Related-Is-Bad” attitude.

Similar happened to my Brother in law. He would not sign up for ACA. Had appendicitis. Now he has $35K in hospital bills, But he still says ACA will destroy America, while he asks me for money, yet wonders why I say NO!
