Rand Defends Obama On Drone Hits

Rand Paul is defending the commander-in-chief on the drone strike that killed Americans.

“I’ve been an opponent of using drones about people not involved in combat,” Paul said. “However, if you’re holding hostages you kind of are involved in combat.”

“If there’s a kidnapping in New York, the police don’t have to have a warrant to go in,” Paul continued. “You don’t get due process or anything like that in a war zone…I tend not want to blame the president for the loss of life here. I think he was trying to do the right thing.”

The White House revealed last week that a January drone strike on an al Qaida compound had killed two hostages, one of them American.

“I do think there’s a valuable use for drones,” Paul added. “As much as I’m seen as this opponent as drones, I think in military and warfare they do have some value.”

Wait…this was the same dingus that went _after_ the President on drones a few months ago (and got a lot of folks on the Far Left moist in the loins) but now he’s _supporting_ the President on drones?

Man…they ragged on John Kerry for flip-flopping, but Senator Paul has taken it to new heights.
