McCain: Paul Is ‘Worst Possible Candidate’

Posted by | April 22, 2015 23:00 | Filed under: Politics

John McCain says even Ted Cruz is a better choice than Rand Paul.

Shortly after responding to Rand Paul calling him an Obama “lapdog,” SenatorJohn McCain talked further about the swipe with Fox’s Neil Cavuto. And McCain really came out swinging, declaring that “Senator Paul is the worst possible candidate, of the 20 or so that are running, on the most important issue, which is national security.”

He said that Paul has been way more wrong about foreign policy and dismissed the suggestion that his call for arming the Syrian rebels would have ended up aiding terrorist groups.

Cavuto asked McCain if he really thinks Paul is the worst, and McCain affirmed that yes, he does. And while he would support the Republican nominee no matter what, he said he hopes “good sense would prevail here.”

McCain even went so far to say that Ted Cruz, a candidate he doesn’t particularly see eye-to-eye on, would do a better job than Paul.

shows they have no faith in REAL Americans, that’s for sure.

why not just pick up the big red flag of Canada and start waving it while telling Americans in the USA –

I’d rather have a Canadian born Cuban than any of you?

I seem to remember a Senator John McCain who ran for President of the United States and selected a clueless mean spirited quitter to be his running mate, the proverbial heartbeat away from the highest office in the land.

With that track record, I do not put much stock in the Senator’s assessment of who is and who is not suited to sit in the Oval Office.

“…the proverbial heartbeat away from the highest office in the land.” or, if that McCaca had a heart attack and died, we’d be a proverbial heartbeat away from her pressing the red button.

There’s so much bounty to choose from, how do you stop at one? Is Paul really worse than Walker, or Cruz, or Rubio, or (fill in the blank)? They all have so many endearing qualities. I say it’s a 5- or 6-way tie for “the worst possible candidate.”

“And while he would support the Republican nominee no matter what, he said he hopes “good sense would prevail here.”
    Hey John.
    Why start now?

not surprising that she doesn’t know who she is…

‘do you know who I am’?

Given that he only cares about “foreign policy”, ie, “Who do we bomb today?” and Paul is the only one not screaming, “Everybody!” he’s at least being consistent with his tunnel vision view of the President’s job.

I would imagine McCain is near the top of the list of World Experts on the worst possible candidate for any political position. The right wing should listen to him on this…and only on this.

He sure knows how to pick mansions.

This is the pool at his mansion in Arizona.

      Nice huh?

Well, after a lifetime in congress, you will have accumulated a fair sized pile of money. It goes with the territory. Can’t expect him to live in a two bedroom townhouse, can you?

      • oldfart April 23rd, 2015 at 14:45

is he sure that’s one of his homes ?

Well Senator, maybe this will change your mind.

    • Larry Schmitt April 23rd, 2015 at 11:35

That looks like that truckload of cash someone made off with in Baghdad. Either that, or the Senate’s petty cash fund.

      • anothertoothpick April 23rd, 2015 at 11:49

He made his money the old fashion republican way, he married it.

And Cindy made her money by inheriting it.

        God Bless Murica.

I guarantee you he would have found another way to get rich, as virtually every other career senator has. They never leave office poorer than they went in.

Green Acres is the place to be,
Farm livin is the life for me.
I loved that show. Am I showing my age yet?
But McCain is no Eddie Albert.

“And while he would support the Republican nominee no matter what, he said he hopes “good sense would prevail here.”” ~mccain. that just says a lot about all that vote repukes. no matter how stupid or ill will their nominee will be for this country, no matter how fk’d up their policies are, which i’ve only heard really was about “war on women” or “war on gays” on “war on poverty” or “war on the education” or “war on the unemployeed” or “war on the insured” or wait, just outright “WAR,” that they ARE NOT representive of the people of this country. and they DO NOT LOVE this country. and fk off, they are not “CHRISTIANS.”
P.S. not sorry for the rant.

actually, if Rand’s people could pay Sara enough to toss her dorky DU wig into the ring, Rand would be the 2nd worst.
