You see, gays are going to force us to follow their customs. Before you know it, they’ll have us all having anal sex, oral sex, sex with animals. We’ll all have multiple wives. Even wives.
Click here for reuse options!Robertson dismissed the concerns of the owners of an Indiana pizzeria who feared that they would have to serve pizza at a same-sex couples’ wedding, saying that the business owners “might as well keep their mouth shut” since it was “the cake-makers that are having the problem.”
This led Robertson to a tirade about how gay people will force others to embrace anal sex and bestiality.
“It doesn’t matter what custom you’ve got, it doesn’t matter what holy thing that you worship and adore, the gays are going to get it,” Robertson said. “They’re going to make you conform to them. You are going to say you like anal sex, you like oral sex, you like bestiality, you like anything you can think of, whatever it is. And sooner or later you are going to have to conform your religious beliefs the group of some aberrant thing. It won’t stop at homosexuality.”
Robertson said that polygamy and “sex with animals” will “come next” as a result of the gay rights movement.

Heh heh heh, you remind me of a PBS show I saw waywayway back in the day when we had UHF TV.
There was a production of Friedman’s “Steambath” starring Bill Bixby (he was really good, no kidding!).
There was this steambath and everyone in it had just died and the whole thing was them interacting. Then God showed up as a Puerto Rican steambath attendant. It was very funny and the only other prominent person in film in it was Valerie Perrine, who took a shower front center and for the first time I got to see boobs on TV. I went to school the next day in a lather, anxious to discuss it with my pals but I was the only one who saw it.
One of the funny moments was when this salty older, grouchy Archie Bunker-type said “Of course we know there are no Ghurka fags” and the gay couple exchanged looks that were hilarious.
Wow, that must’ve been 40 years ago and I still remember it….
Oh, here’s another funny moment.
Bill Bixby and the others aren’t buying that this Puerto Rican steambath attendant in a wife beater is God and ask him to prove it. So he whips out a deck of cards, fans them out and says “Pick a card…”

I saw it a few times afterward and would enjoy watching it again. I think I’d find it has held up over time.
I wish I recalled more about it.At first no one who arrives is aware they are dead. I seem to recall that each has an issue still to work out before they get into heaven.
My memory is of a marvelous play, one of the more enjoyable things I’ve seen on TV.
Back then they would rebroadcast their better productions once a year and that was one I went out of my way to watch.
“I. Claudius” was another one of my faves on UHF….

Had you been around back when I joined this site you would have seen it working very well.
In those circumstances our arguments shine much brighter because one can engage and get more deeply into an issue and see the conservative arguments fall apart.
This site was a welcome, unique oasis from the usual hysteria, name-calling and nuttiness where all sense of proportion is lost.
This was years after the not-so-swiftboarders.
There were one or two who could never abandon the resort to nastiness, but many were relieved they didn’t have to go there to make their points and the discussions covered a lot more ground, were much more interesting and informative.
If enough of us wanted to, we could get back to that kind of forum and have something special.

on a more serious note, the problem with these kinds of haters is they see homosexuals as only one dimentional beings. They equate the entire person to be about sex, not love, family, parent, sister brother…just a sexual act. I’ve known gay people for decades (I’m straight). Either I’ve worked with some and/or I am friends with them.
At NO time has ANY of them “forced” me to “adopt” their sexual actions. I Do recall going to a friend’s apt to watch South Park films where we laughed and laughed.
