Rick Perry: ‘I’m The Candidate’

Posted by | March 21, 2015 11:00 | Filed under: Politics Top Stories

The former Texas governor forgot that he hasn’t announced that he’s running for president. Oops! As the Des Moines Register reports:

Because he’s not a declared presidential candidate yet, Perry in his prepared remarks at a Dallas County GOP event Thursday evening was careful to say he’s in Iowa to push for the election of all constitutional conservatives — in state government, in Congress and “obviously, the president of the United States.”

But he slipped up in a question-and-answer session when a reporter asked him about remarks one of his new aides had made in 2011. “I’m the candidate,” Perry stressed. “And my views are the ones that matter, not” those of Jamie Johnson, whose hire was announced Wednesday.

“I’m the candidate.” That’s your opinion, Mr. Perry. And opinions are like a$$holes, everyone has one, even a$$holes.

Oh, joy, joy, a confirmed candidate for the clown car. Well, at least confirmed in a way that a clown would confirm.

Yep, this made my day. “Hop right in Rick”.

Even though they didn’t get along, Shrub and Perry are two peas in a pod. If you liked W, you’ll love Rick: same empty head, same swagger, same pander.

But Perry’s smarter–he’s got those glasses now!

Oh this is going to be GREAT. Thank you Jesus.

I can see it in the debates … rick you have 3 minutes to answer the question from the panel

Three reasons why Perry should not toss his hat in the POTUS nomination ring again:

    1) He’s already convinced most Americans that he’s a buffoon.
    2) When he asked God if he should run, the Good Lord did a face-palm and sighed.
    3) I can’t remember the third reason …

Sorry Rick…the whole “If I wear glasses people will think I’m smart” thing just ain’t going to work. Any thoughts along those lines will be immediately dissuaded the moment you open your mouth.

Clark Kent wore glasses, and he could never figure out why Lois Lane preferred Superman. And Sarah Palin wears glasses. Nuff said.

    • William March 21st, 2015 at 12:25

Maybe Rick is just using the glasses to identify with his many loyal followers

I’m stumped. Did they misspell scholars or schoolers? It’s a fine line, but somebody’s got to draw it…

Good thing I wasn’t drinking anything when I read that or you’d owe me a new laptop! Thanks for the laugh!

This man is the lowest common denominator. He is dumber than a box of rocks. As one of the few sane residents in the state of Texas it confounds me that people thought he could take a dump without googling it, let alone govern the state. What an embarrassment.
