Two Cops Shot In Ferguson
The two officers were shot during a protest after the police chief resigned.
Click here for reuse options!St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar told reporters early on Thursday that a 41-year-old officer from his department was struck in the shoulder and a 32-year-old officer from the nearby Webster Groves Police Department was hit in the face around midnight as the crowd was starting to break up.“These police officers were standing there and they were shot, just because they were police officers,” Belmar said. “I have said all along, that we cannot sustain this forever without problems.”
He said the officers, whom he did not identify, were both conscious and being treated at a local hospital. The department later said in a statement that both were in serious condition.

“These police officers were standing there and they were shot, just because they were police officers,” Seems to me it’s a bit premature to make statements about motive before any investigation but it appears that’s SOP for the Ferguson PD.

That one violent act was committed by a protester. He chose a different form of protest, opting for violence instead of the “hands up, don’t shoot” phony mantra that’s been adopted. His mantra is “Guns out, shoot cops”…

I don’t have any working theories yet. I am waiting for some more evidence to come in. Lots of wild speculation out there and little evidence. Although I will say that the less evidence they find and the longer it goes unsolved the more I will think it was a planned plant to make the protesters look bad. Protesters are sloppy when doing stuff like this, government agents or those affiliated with government agencies acting roguely aren’t. We shall see what happens.

2 cops were shot with hundreds of people standing around while it happened. How many people came forward after Mike Brown was shot? Someone attempted to assassinate 2 police officers and your first impulse in not to condemn the protesters for protecting an attempted murderer in their ranks but to try and excuse their behavior with weak supposition

That “unarmed black child” in Ferguson whom you refer to was trying to arm himself with a policeman’s gun. AG Holder’s own investigation reached that conclusion, he also concluded that “hands up, don’t shoot” was never said, and never happened. It was made up, kind of like the stuff that gets made up here, on LL. You know, stuff like the shooter was probably white, or, the shooting wasn’t connected to the protest…..
