Boehner Coup?

Posted by | February 28, 2015 20:00 | Filed under: Politics Top Stories

How he handles the next seven days will determine how secure John Boehner is as House speaker.

Frustration with the Ohio Republican is mounting after dozens of hardliners voted Friday against his three-week funding package for the Department of Homeland Security. Hours of frantic leadership meeting ensued. After some backroom maneuvering with Democrats, Boehner was able to push through a one-week bill to keep DHS open…

The stinging rebuke of Boehner on the House floor infuriated his supporters, who accused opponents of handing Democrats a huge PR victory.

Yet is also left even Boehner backers wondering how viable he remains. They admit these repeated confrontations, in which Boehner can’t muster 218 Republican votes for his proposals and has to turn to Democrats for help, leave him looking weak and ineffective — and thus vulnerable to a conservative challenge.

This is what’s wrong w/the House they are concerned more about getting re-elected and getting percs from lobbiests than they are in doing whats good for the citizen. After the KXL vote how much was each rep and senator paid for their vote?

The gopee has long, long ago forgotten what it means to govern for the people…It’s not a my way or the highway game they seem to think it is…And they could give a damn about the consequences

Boehner is weak because the T party is weak and being totally irrational and flexing their muscles as much as possible to accomplish nothing. There is no position of strength and moral fortitude coming from the conservatives anymore. They hate and want to rule through law and the doctrine of hate. Lawful evil does not win, it didn’t work in the past for tyrants that wanted to oppress and dictate how people should run their lives and it won’t work now. History is repeating itself for the ignorant.

It just shows when push comes to shove, Bonehead has a spine full of jelly. The man is deathly afraid of the radicals in his caucus, which is why Nancy Pelosi ALWAYS has to bail him out. Contrast that to when Nancy was Speaker, she could handle the tough votes and didn’t need any help from Bonehead. Bonehead is without a doubt, the WORST House Speaker in modern times, even surpassing Newt Gingrich.

His sole purpose in being there seems to be to keep his seat. It’s his only concern.
