Pit Bull Attacks Owners While Driving Through Mall
The couple were driving in their SUV through a mall in Costa Mesa when their Pit Bull turned on them.
The husband was driving and his wife and the family Pit Bull were passengers, until the dog launched a vicious attack and inflicted serious injuries to both its owners. Witnesses said there were repeated bites to the couples’ arms, the Free Republic reports.
The wife was able to call 911, as her husband pulled into a parking lot and jumped out of the vehicle, but the dog followed him and continued the attack. She told Costa Mesa police that when she tried to coax the Pit Bull back into the car, it turned on her.
Firefighters tried to restrain the Pit Bull until Orange County Animal Control arrived and transported the dog to the Orange County animal shelter, according to KCAL9’s Stacey Butler.

Unfortunatly it is time to put the dog down and out of it’s misery. The dog is unbalanced and unsafe to be around humans, sad that people without the necessary skills to control these strong animals get them anyway

Pit bulls have more to fear from humans than humans do from Pit bulls. Chances are if you mistreat any creature it has the potential to turn viscous. I’ll admit to being slightly dog phobic (bitten several times as a child) but I don’t judge the breed, I judge the owner. If the owner is a violent SOB, chances are he is going to want a viscous dog.

I’m sorry you over your loss of Maggie. Losing a dog is like losing a family member, because they are family. I can’t even fathom the pain you were in, when you had to let Maggie go.
Terriers are varmint killers, they have a predilection for the elimination of rabbits and rodents. They can be as deadly as cats when it comes to squirrels.
Dogs have been morphed into their current shape through either selective breeding or whichever offspring was the best suited to comprehend/exploit us. lol
Dogs will look you in the eye (hell they can follow your gaze) and will watch your face to read you. They can even make inferences about unknown objects. That’s wild.

Pilley placed a new object Chaserhad never seen before in a different room with several of her toys that she knew by name. Read the breeding experiments of Dmitry Konstantinovich Belyaev and you would be astounded how quickly personality traits are morphed by selective/tameness breeding.
It seems that most dogs have morphed and they are all beautiful. Even the ankle biters like Chihuahuas and Dachshunds.
Herding dogs (Collies and Rotties) seem to be more intelligent than sight dogs. Their breeding has giving them the ability to cooperate/communicate with the herder and the other herding dog. Sight hounds took a different route, not a lot of brain power but man can those guys are speedy. Much like a gun owner, see a problem, simple solution is a speedy bullet. Point A to point B kind of thinking. Terriers are hunters and I’d assume they’d be smarter than sight hounds but not in the league with herders.
Not everything is written in stone though. Rottweilers were used as herding dogs by the Romans. Some cows are aware of this but others are not as aware and will chase the Rottie. Give a herd an inch and they will stampede you. lol

It is easy to demonize a breed. When one of them does something horrendous, they all get labeled as if they were all spawned from Cerberus the three headed hell hound.
Quick look around the internet and you will find that yes dogs including Pits can bite but it is blown way out of proportion.
Google “War Time Pit Bulls” and you’ll notice they aren’t described as hell beasts.
Google “Pitbull saves”. You will find a Pit saving a child from a swarm of bees, from home invaders, warning about fires, happily playing with babies and Jonie the homeless female Pit carrying around her sickly homeless boyfriend Chachi the Chihuahua.
Look on Youtube and you’ll see Pits playing with family, swimming in pools, sleeping on the couch/bed, putting up with Chihuahuas that don’t like to share the couch/bed. Getting emotionally upset when their owner jumps into the water to drown/go for a swim.

Yes, some do RG. I had a beautiful and sweet Border, untill she wasn’t. She would go red zone for no reason, I tried special training, meds, muzzles, exercise but nothing worked. After she bit a human quite badly I had no choice, I still cry over her loss.
