Scott Walker Caught Lying About Removing ‘Wisconsin Idea’ From University Mission Statement

The Wisconsin Idea is part of the state’s history, but Scott Walker wanted it removed from the state University’s mission statement, and then wasn’t honest about it, blaming it on a “drafting error.” The phrases he wanted removed are, “Extend knowledge and its application beyond the boundaries of its campuses”; and “Basic to every purpose of the system is the search for truth.” Anomaly explains how this clearly wasn’t just a “drafting error“.

Walker said:

First of all, today I obtained copies of the original records from the Wisconsin Legislative Reference Bureau’s drafting office, which show that there was a long chain of correspondence during which the Walker administration actually proposed deleting the Wisconsin Idea. The records also reveal that numerous officials within the administration proofed and approved of deleting the Wisconsin Idea.

So this yet again confirms Scott Walker’s credentials as a Liar extraordinaire. Yes Walker just passed the TP/GOP test as a potential Presidential candidate. The TP/GOP will flock to support him for this.

It’s the second of these that they have a big problem with. “Basic to every purpose of the system is the search for truth.” It demands the state to search for and recognize facts, something the GOP has difficulty doing.

I wonder if the Koch brothers are pulling the strings, words like knowledge and truth in a university statement must be galling to them. But Walkers a faithful puppet he will hide his masters involvement and skate away in the end.
