To be fair, I’m at work so I can’t listen to the video – I am no Chris Kyle fan, but that’s a fairly bold accusation that I’m not sure the reporter can back up.

Apparently you, like so many “I’m going to shit my pants because ‘terrorism'” folks*, are obsessed about what to call what’s going on and who’s doing it. For the most part I would agree with Al Jezeera on this.
It’s not enough that Obama says that the US will pursue and fight the perpetrators of a violent act. He MUST identify the perps as “terrorists”, “radical islamists”, “jihadists”, etc. Because if he doesn’t use the “right” words he is weak and America is weakened. So “they” win. What a bunch a horse shit!
Most of you apparently don’t understand what an act of terror is. You think that every Arab man with a gun and a checkered scarf around his head is a “terrorist”. You throw the word around until it has no real meaning. “Radical Islamist” is a nonsense term, redundant at the very least. And you have no clue as to the meaning of “jihad”.
I applaud Al Jezzera for its journalistic efforts to use language in a precise way instead of using words designed to be inflammatory. (The memo does not ban the word “Islamic”.)

* I note that when I google “al jezeera banned words” the entire first page of search returns are links to right wing fear mongering organizations such as National Review, Fox News, Breitbart, Washington Times, Hot Air, Daily Caller, and Newsbusters. Very telling.
