Obama Won’t Meet With Netanyahu When He Visits D.C.

Posted by | January 22, 2015 12:25 | Filed under: Politics Top Stories

President Obama won’t meet with the Israeli prime minister when he comes to address Congress at the invitation of House Speaker John Boehner. And that’s for a very simple reason: the president doesn’t meet with other world leaders in proximity to their elections.

Spokeswoman Bernadette Meehan says that in keeping with “long-standing practice and principle,” the president does not meet with heads of state or candidates in close proximity to their elections. Israel is scheduled to hold elections in mid-March.

In an attempt to thumb his nose at the White House, Boehner invited Netanyahu to speak to Congress, and that address will take place March 3.

Just more of the same racism from the right. Yes, this is racism and worse, this is unamerican and bordering on treason, the goptp is bad for America. See what happens when you throw a snit fit Dems, your purity test for Dems has given us this government.

The GOP started an illegal war, warrantless wiretapped American citizens and tortured detainees. I don’t think the GOP isn’t too concerned about the democrats holding them accountable.
      .
BUT, if Obama had left the toilet seat up in the oval office, we’d be in the middle of impeachment hearings right now.

Can POTUS withhold foreign aid? Might be a really good time to help Repubs with their deficit concerns.

So Boehner’s invitation is going to give a boost to Netanyahu’s re-election campaign? Anyone else see anything wrong with that?
