Republican Congressman-Elect Continues War On Christmas

Congressman-elect Barry Laudermilk of Georgia told the Family Research Council’s “Washington Watch” that the left is trying to ruin Christmas.

It’s always been an honored time but just recently it seems like it has gotten to the point where we have to even defend our rights that are given to us to celebrate the birth of Christ and even just the celebration of Christmas has been under fire by the far-left,” he said.

Loudermilk later said that people throughout the country “lost their sense of hope” and pride but will ultimately persevere, comparing America to George Bailey of “It’s A Wonderful Life.” He added: “There is some momentum that we haven’t seen in many years in this nation that people are just tired of political correctness, they’re tired of having their rights stepped upon and they’re ready for something different.”

A (Catholic) friend wished someone ‘Happy Holidays’ the other day & was informed by said person replied ‘I am a Christian, you say ‘Merry Christmas’ to me!’.

    Ha!

I’d say folks on both extremes are doing what they can to ruin the holidays – good thing neither has the power!

It’s so funny that some seem to think there is a “War” on Christmas. I wonder if that’s because they always lose the Best Christmas Decorated House contest.
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas everyone.

We need to “make war” on the idiots who are members of Congress and having nothing more than this to contribute to the civic conversation.

Rather telling that the right looks at so many things through the lens of a “war on……”

War on christmas, war on christians, war on freedom, war on the constitution, war on immigrants, war on ‘real Americans’, war on individual rights, etc etc etc…

yet they wage war on homosexuals, war on womens rights, war on black mens rights, war on families, etc. etc…

Wow. So much baloney in so much word salad in one long, ridiculous sentence. Yeah, he’s a Republican. I wish just one of these idiots could explain exactly how he is being denied his “right” to celebrate his religion today. I know, I know, it’s never gonna happen…..

I don’t know what to make of a republican citing It’s a Wonderful Life. That movie is about the most Anti-republican movie ever made….If they would have their way, we would all be living in Potterville.

So this is what’s highest on the Republican agenda now that they control congress? Lets make it a priority to protect Jesus and Santa Claus (who are both white) and force religion on everyone!

now, to be fair, the war on Christmas continues until the sixth of January when it ends, and starts again shortly after Halloween.
