Images: Armed Masked Man Strolls Through Wichita Streets Trying To Recruit Others To A Militia

An armed masked gunmen strolled through the streets of Wichita trying to find people to join a militia. According to KAKE-TV, the man who identified himself as Sam McCrory explained that he’s not trying to scare anyone. No, really.

His face appears to be painted with Red, White and Blue, because nothing says America like terrifying little kids in the middle of the day. In fairness, he looks like just another Open Carry activist, who most of us would agree are equally intimidating.

McCrory said he was out on Tuesday in his totally not intimidating attire to protest against “police brutality and the militarization of police forces” and to recruit others to a Wichita- area militia, I’m with him on the protest, but this newer updated John Wayne Gacy look is just a tad bit unnerving.

When McCrory hears “Hands up, Don’t shoot” at the protests, peaceful demonstrators will be talking to him. It’s counter-productive.

Also, did anyone else notice that the police did not shoot and kill this man?

A masked man can open carry weapons, but toy guns will get you killed.

Big thanks to ActUpSpeakOut for the images. You rock.

That is not at all what the message of this video is – did you actually watch it?

    • Red Eye Robot December 25th, 2014 at 21:54

really? the kid doesn’t take a loaded gun to school? At least 4 felonies are advocated in this video.
      1) Theft of a firearm
      2) Minor in possession of a handgun
      3) Illegally carrying a concealed weapon
      4) Illegal transfer of a stolen gun

Lets just ignore that the gun may be loaded bouncing around in a book bag all day at school.
      What could possibly go wrong.?

      • Carla Akins December 26th, 2014 at 04:03

The intent of the video was not to encourage teens to do the same but to point out to gun owners that they need to be responsible with storage of their firearms. If you cannot tell the difference, you have some serious comprehension issues.

        • Red Eye Robot December 28th, 2014 at 13:53

Really? The title of the video is Stop Gun Violence Now” Not “Lock up your guns” Or “Don’t let your kids get a hold of your guns” Furthermore the only spoken words in the entire video are “Can you take this away? I don’t feel safe with a gun in my house”
I think you so badly want to disagree with me you’re seeing things that aren’t there. The video doesn’t mention even once safe storage as an option. It simply equates guns with violence. and the only remedy is to remove them.

I did go back and watch it again, I tend to multi-task a lot so I do miss things. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to do audio. I still see nothing encouraging the behavior, but I’ll listen to it in the morning and get back to you.

Of course he wasn’t an African American in Walmart or a 12 yo African American with a pellet gun at a park, or a 17 year old African American walking home with a Slurpie in the rain wearing his hoodie—– so no White police officer or wanna be cop- shot him to death. White privilege goes a long way.

he didn’t mention any perks when you join his militia ?

    • whatthe46 December 25th, 2014 at 00:20

well one perk is obvious. you can walk around town with your face covered and your weapons in plain sight and not get arrested or shot.

      • fancypants December 25th, 2014 at 00:30

so he’s got that going for him
        which is nice

        • whatthe46 December 25th, 2014 at 00:51

good for him, dangerous for others. stupid of the cops to allow someone who can’t be identified to carry weapons in the open period.

I thought it was pretty clever…a reference to the idiot that shot up the Aurora theater, that looked just like this.

          • Kim Serrahn December 26th, 2014 at 08:49

I got the reference, not sure if anyone else did.But like his parents said he’s isn’t a bad boy, just confused.

            • RoninNY December 26th, 2014 at 13:15

That’s what parents say after someone has killed someone else. “he was a nice boy.”

              • Kim Serrahn December 26th, 2014 at 15:25

Jeffrey Dahmer was SUCH a nice young man….

When I lived in California, there was an elderly lady who got busted for killing tenants and collecting their Social Security checks. I don’t remember if she had them buried in the garden or under the house. But neighbors said she was a ‘sweet old lady’.

                  • moonkat51 December 26th, 2014 at 21:02

Yeah, Dorothea Puente from Sacramento. She was a real peach, wasn’t she?

                    • RoninNY December 26th, 2014 at 22:35

Closest I came to anything like that was- I moved into a small house with my girlfriend at the time. We were there for about a month when she decided she wanted to break up. One of those people that would want to make a commitment, then when she did, she’d feel trapped and run away. The landlady, a little Chinese lady, showed up while my partner was moving out and told me to go too. I said I would get a roommate, but she said ‘no, you go too” Then she said she was not going to give us our deposit back. We had to go to court, but ended up at night arbitration, where a legal official volunteers so you don’t have to go to court. This woman put on a show, ranting and raving and saying that I snuck animals into the house and put toothpaste in holes in the wall!! Real nutcase. The arbitrator said he’d split the difference, which meant she kept half of OUR money! I found out later that this woman owned something like 10 homes and had a reputation for renting to people with a big deposit AND last months rent (meaning it cost over $3000 just to move in!) then would wait about a month and kick people out and keep the deposit and last month rent. Nice scam!

But how can you tell that this isn’t a light-skinned Kenyan-marxist-fascist-imperial Muslim terrorist with calves like cantaloupes simply POSING as an Open Carry Meshuggeneh Activist? Why isn’t Louie Gohmert protecting us against this patently obvious attempt to impersonate gun nuts in order to impose Kenyan-marxist-fascist-imperial Sharia and sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids?

Ad hominem attacks really show that you haven’t the ability to refute the statement, so you insult people instead. In any event, unless you can PROVE that I am an idiot, I just have to assume that it’s simply projection on your part.

Bet ya didn’t even catch the final pop-culture reference, did ya?

I remember this man waking around naked and because there was no town ordinance about nudity, he was allowed to do his thing. Exposing your hairy testicles to strangers, walking around like a Taliban terrorist…. same thing, different town.
