The Perfect Right-Wing Christmas Card

Santa has a gun and he’s not afraid to use it to protect the baby Jesus from an Islamic terrorist. John Snyder, a former NRA magazine editor and Public Affairs Director of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms knows how to spread Christmas cheer.

“The Christmas card reflects current reality,” Snyder said. “According to numerous news reports, Islamist terrorists behead innocent victims around the world, even here in the United States. These murderers persecute Christians, especially Catholics, who worship Jesus Christ as the Son of God, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity…

Snyder added that, “Santa Claus for many represents the Christmas spirit, the spirit of giving. On this message, Santa uses force of arms to rescue Baby Jesus from a terrorist, to give the Infant protection and freedom from the terrorist. Governments and other entities worthy of respect appreciate the right and ability of individuals to use firearms to protect the innocent.”

This is like having Fred Flintstone in a Star Trek same movie. Santa Claus is an alternate reality from the baby Jebus. At least one of them is a fantasy. The actual saint that Santa morphed from (who may or may not have actually existed) has nothing to do with the current version.

The right-wingers are making it more and more difficult for us to make satire that is more over-the-top than their actual pronouncements.

It’s pretty bad when satire sounds like the GOP party line.

Now see, here is a perfect opportunity for Christendom to stand against this very real perversion of their lord and savior. Everything I see here is the complete opposite to what the messages that Jesus supposedly spoke upon. I imagine though that the collective factions of the Christian faiths will stay as silent as ever when it comes to fearless self examination of their members and supporters. No actual Christian should or would accept this as anything but blasphemy.

We’d be too busy there are examples of this every time you click a link, that’s why we try to stay on left leaning sites so we don’t run into it so often.

I’m glad you said “so often”. It seems that violence is the go to answer more and more these days. I saw this today and i think it should be in every school, courtroom and church/temple.
