The prequel will revolve around Superman’s grandfather.

David S. Goyer, the prolific producer who has shepherded DC Comics properties in the past including “Man of Steel,” is spearheading the project with DC Entertainment and Warner Horizon Television. Ian Goldberg (“Once Upon a Time”) is writing the teleplay based on a story that he conceived with Goyer.

    Hmm… could be cool.
I’ll certainly give it a try!

The last two events which I personally consider to be cultural landmarks and which have occurred in my lifetime are The Sex Pistols and Night of the Living Dead.

With the Pistols, it was the very last time I had the experience of turning on my radio and thinking to myself, my god I have never heard anything like that before. Pretty damn cool.

Night of the Living Dead created an entire new genre of horror film which to this day is still thriving. It was also the very first sci-fi feature film with a black man as the lead protagonist.

Is creativity now dead? Is there now nothing left except to exploit old favorites with new mostly irrelevant storylines? Next up will be the compelling saga of Bruce (Batman) Wayne’s loyal butler, Alfred and his compelling immigration journey through Ellis Island. sigh…

They better get their science fiction correct. It’s disappointing when Hollywood has origin stories of characters but with incorrect information due to shitty research.
