Report: Darren Wilson Helped Save A Black Infant Just Before The Brown Call

Posted by | December 3, 2014 14:00 | Filed under: Politics Top Stories

Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson had been called to help a sick infant in a Section 8 housing complex right before the call to pursue Michael Brown came in.

…prior to Officer Wilson responding to the video tape recorded robbery Brown was implicated in, Wilson was busy ensuring a sick child was safe, and that both mother and child were safely and quickly transported to a local hospital. On the day of the shooting Wilson responded at 11:45 a.m. to the Northwinds Apartment Complex for an “emergency involving a 2-year-old child who had trouble breathing” as well as reportedly running a fever. At 11:53 a.m. while still at the Northwinds Apartments, Wilson heard a radio call involving a theft at a market on West Florissant Avenue, just a few blocks away. It was then that Wilson made the judgment call to remain with the sickly child as well as the child’s mother until an ambulance arrived. Only when sure health care professionals were on scene to transport mother and child to the hospital did Officer Wilson respond to the theft call.

The linked article is titled, “The African-American infant Darren Wilson saved.”

However, it’s unclear why a cop was sent to a medical emergency, or what difference (if any) he made.

Cops are usually first on the scene for any medical emergency. Call 911 for an ambulance, you will get a cop.

Is there a pattern developing… if something nice about a cop, doubt, cast aspersions, denigrate… if something bad about a cop, believe it 100% immediately…?

          Timing is everything.

          Is there a pattern developing…

No, it’s well established, especially in black communities.

      • starskeptic December 3rd, 2014 at 15:04

Depending on where you are – you might get everybody– fire, medical, and police.

        • mea_mark December 3rd, 2014 at 15:14

Where I live you get volunteer fire department and ambulance. No police and the Sheriff dept. don’t care.

          • starskeptic December 3rd, 2014 at 15:15

Like I said – depends on where you are.

We get everybody in my town. Thankfully, crime is almost non-existent and they don’t have anything else to do. The police I’ve encountered here have been nothing but professional. There are still many good cops out there but those like Wilson and the NY cops that murdered Eric Garner need to be weeded out far sooner or even better would be never having been hired in the first place. Psych. testing likely kept George Zimmerman off the 2 Sheriff’s Office he applied to so it can work. I find it difficult to believe after hearing stories from my uncle who was the Chief of Police in his hometown, that they don’t show signs of their lack of professionalism, racism, etc. long before an actual problem occurs. Wilson came from a police force where all were fired due to racial tension and excessive force. Things have to be really bad for everyone to lose their job and start over with a brand new police force. Wilson apparently never learned from the mistakes that were made there.

What exactly did he do. Did he actually do anything other than stand around waiting for an ambulance to arrive? This sounds a lot like propaganda to me. Yeah, he was there but I bet he didn’t do much more than stand and around and wait. I would like to know what the mother has to say.

Would also like to know, just because, did he file an incident report for this while neglecting the one for the shooting?

    • R.J. Carter December 3rd, 2014 at 14:47

I’m sure he was walking in a tight little circle, wishing he could figure out a way to pop the little baby with a bullet. #yesthatwassarcasm

  11. Foundryman December 3rd, 2014 at 15:57

So? Responding to a call of a distressed baby doesn’t absolve him of killing an unarmed teenager.

    • wowlikewow December 3rd, 2014 at 19:48

DOES IT MATTER IF HE WAS UNARMED OR NOT??? THE COP DIDN”T KNOW HE WAS UNARMED!!!

      • mea_mark December 3rd, 2014 at 20:25

Sorry, but your an idiot. Brown did not take the gun away from Wilson. He knew he was unarmed.

        • whatthe46 December 3rd, 2014 at 20:42

          don’t be sorry. its true.

      • Foundryman December 3rd, 2014 at 20:32

Absolutely it matters. It matters every single time an agent of the government shoots downs and kills an unarmed citizen.
It’s disgusting there are so many like you around who are either so ignorant or simply refuse to see why this is so wrong.

BTW, if he was armed, and he was a thug like you say, we would have been watching a funeral for a cop instead…

      • AKRNC December 4th, 2014 at 09:14

It damn well matters. It also negates the idea of Wilson believing that Michael Brown was reaching for his gun, he wouldn’t be doing so if already armed. The very idea that he was going for Wilson’s gun is ridiculous. I don’t believe a word out of Wilson’s mouth especially after accepting a six-figure payoff for an interview. Blood money!

“…prior to Officer Wilson responding to the video tape recorded robbery…” Officer Wilson did NOT respond to the robbery. The recorded robbery was unknown to Wilson when he encountered Brown and Johnson.

THAT’S EXACTLY RIGHT!!!! even the “chief” said in a press conference that wilson knew nothing of the damn incident at the store.
