Giuliani: Wilson Case Shouldn’t Even Have Gone To Grand Jury

Posted by | November 30, 2014 10:29 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics Top Stories

Former New York mayor and former Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani said on “Fox News Sunday” that the case of Darren Wilson shouldn’t have gone to a grand jury.

Having read the transcripts of the Grand Jury, and having been a prosecutor for thirteen years, I don’t see how this case normally would even have been brought to the Grand Jury,” Giuliani said. “This is the kind of case, had it not had the racial overtones and the national publicity, in which the prosecutor would have come to the conclusion that there was not enough evidence to bring to the Grand Jury.”

“Attorney General Holder’s gonna have to take a case in which a jury couldn’t find probably cause to indict, and he’s gonna have to try to find probable cause in front of a federal Grand Jury,” Giuliani said. “It’s an impossible case to present to a Grand Jury.”

Sounds Rudy Giuliani wants to be president, of a white supremacist nation. No need for a trial when you gun down a black person. We all know who likes ideas like that.

    • fancypants November 30th, 2014 at 17:02

No need for a grand jury ( according to rudy ) because their was no crime scene investigation or an officer to investigate on the crime scene.
rudy has a mind set on speedy justice and he doesn’t plan to change anytime soon

Giuliani is a piece of work and not in a good way either. He’s just another rich white Teapublican bigot that just needs to go away forever…

In a way he makes a point.
It should never should have gone to a Grand Jury. Charges should just have immediately been filed against the killer by the prosecuting attorney. Period!

    • crc3 November 30th, 2014 at 11:02

But…but cops are serving the public by protecting the citizens. Oh wait… :-(

      my same thoughts.

Scary that he thinks it’s normal to have an officer kill an unarmed man, and then:

Not file a report on the shooting
    Leave the crime scene
Wash blood evidence off his hands
Collect his own clothes, unsupervised, from his home on route to hospital
    Bag his own gun

Not to mention the lack of crime scene photos due yo that dead battery, no notes from the first officer on scene after the shooting, etc etc. Giuliani thinks this is normal! He’s not qualified to run a dog pound, much less a city, state or country.

    • FrankenPC . November 30th, 2014 at 11:58

He can’t possibly think it’s normal. He was told to say all that. I’m positive there’s some sort of Republican central command that is dishing out this unified authoritarian messaging. It’s the same feed that gives Faux it’s talking points.

      • KABoink_after_wingnut_hacker November 30th, 2014 at 12:19

        Yup!
Republican central command is Koch’s Americans for Prosperity though Limbaugh, Faux Snooze, et al.

They do march in lockstep, don’t they? And don’t dare veer from the approved GOP line, or it’ll be the end of your career.

        • FrankenPC . November 30th, 2014 at 12:52

Yeah. They march in lockstep even though they may be physically separated by a great distance. I find it hard to believe that they are emailing each other with “final solution” documents. The most efficient (not the fastest…) communications topology is the star pattern with a communications broadcaster at the center. Hell, Faux might be that hub.

          Check this out.
This is what you get when one corporation owns 1000’s of TV broadcast stations.
It’s our American propaganda machine and it’s scary!

its even more horrendous then that when tv stations ( including fox news ) who have lawyers and judges that blow off crime scene investigations as if there is no such thing ?

That is one of his opening lines to the right wing radicals who vote in primaries, he is working hard to get on their “good” side while hoping they give him the chance to run for President.

I’m getting the feeling that there is some sort of darknet out there for right wing messaging . People like Giuliani can pose questions and theoreticals in a instant message or chat and some anonymous entity will respond with exact wording and posturing to use.
