Issa Calls Gruber To Testify Before Congress

Posted by | November 22, 2014 21:00 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Top Stories

Embattled MIT Professor Jonathan Gruber has been summoned to testify before the House Oversight Committee.

Gruber, who could not be reached for comment, now faces the heat Dec. 9 in D.C.

“They can do two things — they can actually pump him for information or they can just grill him and make him squirm and therefore make the president and Democrats squirm,” said professor Dennis Hale of Boston College. “It puts it back on Page 2. … If they’re holding a hearing, it means there’s going to be news. The mainstream press will try to avoid that news, but it’s a little bit harder to ignore a Congressional hearing than an Internet video.”

U.S. Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) is calling Gruber and Medicaid Administrator Marilyn Tavenner before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee for a hearing about “health law deceptions.”

    I’d say pot/kettle, but it’s more like douche/asshole.

You know those two things aren’t supposed to go together, right?

      Or maybe douche/enema?

      • Carla Akins November 23rd, 2014 at 05:39

That works too. I can’t describe how little I care about Gruber’s opinion – and I care about Issa’s even less. A couple of meglomaniacs, at least an econ degree serves a practical purpose.

Congress has been a three ring circus since ‘baggers took it over. Not that it was a lot better before–but this is the worst that I’ve seen it and I’ve been paying attention since the early 60s.

Coming soon to a C SPAN outlet near you “The Benghazi Bunch Rides Again!”

If you thought their first adventure was the biggest load of unmitigated horsesh*t in the history of our republic, you ain’t seen nothing yet.

I’m pretty sick of paying for it, too. How on earth did the GOPTP ever get the reputation for being fiscally responsible? Drunken sailors are more frugal than they are.

Just in time! Issa doesn’t have Benghazi anymore and Gruber fell right into the seat for the next manufactured scandal.

How much is this clown show going to cost us taxpayers?

Now he’s starting to bore me.

I don’t understand how Issa believes his hearings will make this front page news, he has hearing constantly and people have tuned him out. He is a pathetic man who tries to grab for attention and people have become tired of his antics.

Gruber reminds me of the torpedoes American submarines had in World War II. Sometimes the sub would shoot one at a Japanese ship and the damned torpedo would head toward the ship but then circle around and come back toward the submarine….

And Issa continues to try and stay relevant as he curries being a media whore. Looks like the good people of CA District 49 have no problems with their representative being a complete douchebag.

Now that Issa has squandered millions unsuccessfully trying to create a scandal out of Benghazi, it’s time to move on… our tax dollars at work!
