Republican Rep.: Impeachment ‘A Possibility’

Posted by | November 10, 2014 22:09 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics Top Stories

Here’s another example of Republicans doing a really good bad job of working with the White House.

Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX) said on Monday that impeaching President Obama “would be a consideration” if he moves forward unilaterally on immigration.

Barton’s comments were made during an interview with former Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R-AZ), who now hosts NewsMaxTV’s “America’s Forum.”
Barton was asked about the possibility that Obama could take executive action to slow deportations.

“Well impeachment is indicting in the House and that’s a possibility. But you still have to convict in the Senate and that takes a two-thirds vote,” Barton said. “But impeachment would be a consideration, yes sir.”

They’re dumb enough to try it, I am certain if Obama moves ahead w/immigration reform they will vote to impeach.

They will use any excuse to impeach…they will lose everything if they follow through.

Impeaching the man and apologizing to oil companies who pollute on massive scales; that’s what congressional legislators form Texas give us.

The judges have determined this is juuuust thick enough to give Barton a boost back into the top 20 in the Right Wing Dunce Contest.

DANG! – Sara use to be right up there in the top three. Appears like sagging is becoming the norm for her, especially being she’s behind Michelle -so, I guess eating apples while fleeing reporters at a brisk trot makes for a better figure than being a lush speeding in the tundra?

    • Suzanne McFly November 11th, 2014 at 08:44

Good list, but a lot of them deserve the #1 spot.

      • Dwendt44 November 11th, 2014 at 11:44

I would thing Gohmer would be higher on the list. His pie hole is a lot more active that Herm Cain.

        • Suzanne McFly November 11th, 2014 at 11:59

I would think palin would be higher, but it upsets me that she would probably take that as a compliment. She hasn’t been relevant in years, but she still makes me nauseous.

“Issa’s 0 Indictments” following 50 weeks of hearings per year prove Big Oil Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX) is still as threatened by reality as when as Energy committee chair he tried to scuttle construction of the National Ignition Facility in 2005, completed in 2009! ‘How we built a star on Earth’ for energy independence scares the bejesus out of Big Oil GOP! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Cb7iqaN91c

nice way to keep the government near shut down, but I don’t think it’ll do a damn thing for making sure veterans have equal medical treatment and facilities as members of Congress, or get the economy Booming in warp speed overdrive, AS PROMISED by Republican members of Congress.

    • Bunya November 11th, 2014 at 00:17

Look at the bright side. As long as the GOP is distracted with birth certificates, college transcripts and Benghazi, they won’t be thinking of ways to start a war with Syria or Iran.

      • Dwendt44 November 11th, 2014 at 11:42

        I bet they can.

        • Bunya November 11th, 2014 at 12:14

You’re probably right. With the GOP, war always trumps piddly projects like the economy and anything needed for our veterans.
