A California man was sentenced Friday to 37 years to life in prison for raping two women he met on the dating sites ChristianMingle.com and Match.com, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Sean Banks,39, a computer technician and former Navy officer, showed no remorse for his crimes while in court.

GottaLaff from RadioOrNot reports, “Instead, the rapist said that he “was willing to drop his appeal if one of the victims would take a polygraph test.” Nice. How respectful. What a guy.”

Oh Lord, please protect me from your followers. Amen.

Gloria Allred, the noted Los Angeles attorney, attended the sentencing on behalf of the victim who met Banks through ChristianMingle.

Allred took issue with Banks’ offer about the polygraph test.

“In 39 years of practicing law,” Allred said, “I don’t think I have ever heard a statement more disrespectful to the victim and the jury’s verdict. It’s an ultimate insult of disrespect.”

Allred warned other women “to be aware of the risk of online dating.”

The 24-year-old victim said: “That night changed my life. Scary people are not just in movies. They are real.”

She explained in court that during their first date in October 2012, she invited Banks to her apartment to watch a movie. She said that he quickly began making physical advances.

“I didn’t believe that was happening and I said at the top of my lungs” for him to stop, she said.

She said later in court, “I pray for him every day. I pray that he changes.”

this guy is a slimy predator. That being said, I don’t think that asking your accuser to take a polygraph test is disrespectful. I think the accused deserves his defense. Then again, HE should ALSO take the test.

AFTER being convicted? Yeah, it’s disrespectful as hell.

Should she have invited a stranger from the internet to her house on the 1st date? No one, male or female should do that.

Couple of questions for the Poster:
    1. Why is this under the Political tag?
    2. Why the “Oh Lord, please protect me from your followers. Amen.” when a ‘follower’ who has the least incentive to pray for this bast@rd(who isn’t a follower) is actually praying for him; if she is an example of a follower, I say “thank you for your followers”…
