Angelina Jolie: ‘I Am Open’ To Running For Office

Angelina Jolie hints she may run for office.

“When you work as a humanitarian, you are conscious that politics have to be considered. Because if you really want to make an extreme change, then you have a responsibility,” Jolie, 39, tells Vanity Fair’s December issue.

“I honestly don’t know in what role I would be more useful — I am conscious of what I do for a living, and that [could] make it less possible,” said Jolie, director and a special envoy for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.

Pushed further, she admitted, “I am open” to pursing politics.

I’d vote for her just to see her father have diarrhea

the fact that she is already involved with the dreaded United Nations is likely already causing some gastric distress. I hope.

      love Jon’s acting abilities

not so much with his political views though.

Oh, FFS! We don’t already have a government full of preening, self important egomaniacs?

check out what she’s been doing for the kids in SE Asia before looking at her as Alexander’s ice hot mom. She’s got my vote – no matter what political party she is connected with. -and all in all, she’s not a bad actress – maybe a bit weird with the tattoos, but that seems to go more and more with the younger set nowadays. Most of ’em with the professional markings are decent enough guys though.

Sorry, but none of that qualifies her for office.

these days, the main qualifications for office are having access to money, and having a thick enough skin so that you are able to ignore personal attacks against you, your family and friends.

why should our best and brightest go through the ordeal of character assassination to serve in office when they can earn more money in the private sector and spare their families the spectacle of being publicly villified?

You also mostly have to be christian and hetero. Especially in the South.

Well she does live in New Orleans so those are a negative here. I am moving so I would not get to vote for her, not that I would anyway except to vote against a repub.
