The Republican Secret Media Training School

Taegan Goddard reveals the secret place Republicans go to learn how to deal with the media.

Media training instructor Rob Lockwood

The school is a reaction to the high-profile crises the GOP has inflicted upon itself in recent years—from Todd Akin’s “legitimate rape” comment to Christine O’Donnell’s “I am not a witch” ad—and party officials are determined not to repeat past mistakes…

Two hundred operatives have graduated this year. Among its teachings:

1. Don’t Treat Reporters As Your Enemy
2. Think Twice Before Holding Press Conferences
3. Remember That Dull Can Be Good
4. Maintain a Bit of Healthy Paranoia
5. Don’t Chase Every Story

Good! It’s about time the GOP started improving their PR machine.

You can put lipstick on a piggy and it will be adorable, but it still is a piggy :)

        I’ve heard that somewhere before… :-)

The image is probably just making you think of Karl Rove.

Improving their PR machine to do precisely what? Convince people to vote for bad ideas?

Remember just a few months ago when Republicans were just oh so shocked and outraged that some people were losing their health insurance? But still they persist with this “Repeal Obamacare” talking point which if it came to pass, would cause millions of people to lose their health insurance.

All the lipstick and PR in the world won’t change the clear contradiction demonstrated that Republicans care about people losing health insurance only when it suits their political agenda.

That is what the school should be addressing, the inherent dishonest partisanship that is the bedrock of the GOP. If you actually care about people losing health insurance, you don’t run around threatening repeal of the only insurance millions have ever had. Funny how I cannot find a single GOP candidate willing to address that basic truth.

“The secret place Republicans go to learn how to deal with the media”.

I’m actually more interested in the place where media goes to learn how to make sh*t up

    http://www.mediaite.com/tv/maddow-co-anchor-call-out-megyn-kelly-for-misleading-voter-fraud-coverage/

IE, the good people over at the fair and balanced network reporting that a Colorado law “literally allows residents to print ballots from their home computers, then encourages them to turn ballots over to collectors.”
I don’t think instruction on how to deal with the media is noteworthy. What I think is noteworthy is a network that continues the practice of throwing poo at their viewers.

Fox “news” would be hilarious satire if no one actually believed that crap.

FakeNews has a perfect right to lie, exaggerate, and make stuff up. It’s the law.

When their viewers stop eating it, they will change.

I can cut their list down to two things to remember:

1-“Stop being stupid” (Thanks Bobby Jindal)

2- Just do what Reince does

I can fix that in one easy step:
    1. Remove head from anus.
