Open Carry Group Hatches Plan: Armed Gun Humpers To Pour Into All Kroger Locations Nationwide

Posted by | October 26, 2014 16:47 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics Top Stories

Our Open Carry pals have a plan and boy is it a good one this time. Instead of the planned counter protest against Moms Demands Action when they gather at Kroger headquarters, a gun rights group is calling on fearless patriots to go to all Kroger stores nationwide with their guns.

This is all terribly exciting. The group even changed Kroger’s logo with this freedom image and I’m sure the chain store is going to love it.

That image and the new plan was posted on Ohio Carry’s Facebook page, then circulated by Open Carry Texas.

I can’t imagine what could go wrong.

We will be having a Kroger Support Day. Here is what we just updated our event with:

On Wednesday, October 29th, Moms Demand Action and the whole Bloomberg gang of gun control extremists will be at Kroger headquarters to “protest” the private businesses stance on the legal carry of firearms, which we all know is code for bully and harass! We are SURE they are expecting us to be there in full force and want to use us to get more media attention. We are changing our tactics and will NOT be doing that!

You see how protest is in quotes? When Open Carriers protest with guns slung across their backs in family friendly restaurants, it’s a protest. When Moms protest, it’s code word for “bully and harass.”

Here is why:

MDA’s protest will (as usual) not garner much attention. But if we show up, we create that conflict piece that the news sucks up and loves to spread. They would use that perceived conflict to make this nationwide news and KEEP Kroger in the news even though they do not want to be. We DO NOT want to do that to Kroger, and will NOT give MDA the extra recognition here. We are not too proud to admit that we need to change tactics. We also will not give them or the news the chance to try to spin this against us and say that we are the ones bullying them. They are bullying Kroger, and the whole country can see that.

So what ARE we going to do you ask?

Yes, what ARE you going to do?

We will be asking people nationwide to support Kroger on Wednesday, October 29th!

(All Republican exclamation marks are theirs, not mine!!!!!!)

But once again, we are learning from our mistakes. We are asking that people either conceal or keep it to handguns only! We don’t want this to even be about guns; we want to show Kroger support for standing by their beliefs and not backing down to bullies, and we want to do that in a way that causes them no PR harm as well. Starbucks was a learning point, and we would be remiss not to learn from the past.

We have a downloadable flyer available on the homepage of our website (www.ohiocarry.org). It is a thank you note to Kroger. We are asking everyone to go support Kroger on Wednesday, print this flyer off, and give it to the manager of the store you are supporting. There may be a few mad moms protesting outside of corporate, but we can show that there are many more loyal supporters in their store spending money.

We are also asking that you save all of your receipts, take pictures of them and upload them to the Kroger page and to Ohio Carry’s page! We will keep a running tally of how much money was spent!

Just to reiterate; PLEASE do not bring long guns into a Kroger store. It is not in line with Ohio Carry policies, and we will be making it clear that we have suggested against this! Also to clear things up, any group who is there on Wednesday at Kroger Corporate and is countering MDA is NOT Ohio Carry, and is no way associated with Ohio Carry. Thank you all for your support and for helping us have the largest positive impact on the firearm rights movement.

Suzy Applegarth asks Ohio Carry, “If you don’t get photos of you with openly carried guns, how will people know you are true patriotic americans and not just stupid moms?”

That’s right, Suzy, those stupid  ol’ Moms are so stupid trying to exercise their First Amendment rights. Every smart patriot knows you’re supposed to totally skip over the First Amendment to get to the Second.

Please obey the laws, because otherwise, it’s totally not the group’s fault.

Concealed-carry and open carry laws vary greatly from state to state. Encouraging people to carry guns into Kroger may be illegal for those ignorant of their own state law. But whatevs, it’s the Moms who are “stupid.”

Kroger, we need to have a talk.

H/T: My pal @ActUpSpeakOut with thanks, as always.

“Every smart patriot knows you’re supposed to totally skip over the First Amendment and the first half of the Second to get to the right to bear arms part”
    There, fixed it for you

    • Well Done October 26th, 2014 at 18:06

The first half of the second doesn’t negate the “right to bear arms” part, but it’s fun to see gun-haters pretend “militia” means something other than it meant when the 2cd was written. It means “people with guns”, not any sort of organized gov’t entity. You idiots.

Especially be sure to skip the “well-regulated” part. Somehow they’ve confused “well-regulated” with “unregulated”.

Good. I hope that Krogers enjoys a day free of families with children filling their carts with groceries and supplies in exchange for a day full of heavily armed assholes roaming the aisles begging for a fight and munching on a bag of Cheetos. Are Krogers employees being trained in how to tell the good guys with guns from the bad guys with guns and how to duck and cover when all hell breaks loose?

It still cracks me up, that even gun manufacturers allude to and use as advertisement “you’re not a man without your gun”.

    • ExPFCWintergreen October 26th, 2014 at 18:05

Just ask the man who owns one!

    • Larry Schmitt October 26th, 2014 at 18:30

I think I can be a bushmaster without this kind of gun. If ya know what I mean.

      • Saint_Augustine October 27th, 2014 at 06:42

Going into the bush without a gun sounds so, … so tasty!

I wonder if there’s prophylaxis for small penis disorder. The way Kroger is handling this, it certainly wouldn’t be in their pharmacies.

    Thanks Kroger.
I now know where I will never spend a dime.
And my family will be safer for it.

Moms Demand Action should go shopping at Kroger competitors on the 29th and upload their receipts to Krogers page. You know, just for fun, so Krogers can see how much money was not spent compared to the gun nuts spending.

      Moms Demand Action…(MDA)..
I remember a different MDA way back in the late 70’s..
      (Methylenedioxyamphetamine)…(what a trip)…

I am here and happy to say I survived the 70’s (born on1960) the 80’s the 90’s 00’s and nearly halfway through the 20-teens…
What a long strange trip it’s been..

I agree but think it should be done for an entire month. Nationwide.

      • RK Johnston October 27th, 2014 at 00:46

They will have to do it at Ralph’s and Food-4-Less here in So-Cal, since Kroger owns both!

They have been, Kroger’s is a tougher nut to crack than most. I’ve been following the Moms FB page for awhile now.

That’s rich, gun fondlers calling people who don’t want rifles shoved in their faces when they’re trying to buy dinner, bullies.

    • Tori Skidori October 27th, 2014 at 01:33

You mean calling moms who don’t want rifles in their and their children’s faces bullies for wanting to deny those poor “men” who need to have their security guns with them to venture out into the big, scary Krogers among all those women and children.

      • Candide Thirtythree October 27th, 2014 at 03:56

Now that is a very vivid and accurate picture of severe insecurity.
