Mother Tries To Kill Her Daughters To Send Them Home To ‘Meet Jesus Christ’

An Illinois woman who is accused of trying to kill her three children, told police she was sending her daughters to meet Jesus Christ, according to court records, the Sun Times reports.

When Montgomery police arrived after receiving two hang up calls, the children were dressed all in white.

Police said 47-year-old Pamela J. Christensen answered the door wearing a white shirt which was covered in blood.

Christenson then got down on her knees and told the police she had tried to kill her children.

When the police checked on the girls upstairs, they found that two of them were suffering from stab wounds to the chest.

According to records, Christensen had also stabbed herself in the chest and abdomen.

Police said Christensen told officers that she was sending the girls home to “meet Jesus Christ.”

According to what the three girls, ages 12, 16 and 19, told police, their mother held a knife to them and asked them if they accepted Jesus Christ as their savior.

A poisonous liquid in the home’s kitchen was discovered by police. The mother said she had concocted the mixture out of dishwashing detergent in an attempt to subdue her children in hopes the kids would fall asleep so she could stab them.

The children refused to ingest the poison, according to police.

Police said they also  found a cell phone belonging to the mother. Christensen told officers that her husband, Vaughn Christensen — a former pastor — had left messages on the phone telling his wife that the world was ending, and that she needed to prepare the family to meet Jesus.

A month ago, Christensen filed an order of protection against her husband.  According to the woman, the two were going through a divorce, and Vaughn Christensen had become increasingly violent toward her and the children.

The order stated that Vaughn Christensen had become “increasingly erratic” over the last seven months, and had threatened to harm himself and the kids. She wrote that he mentioned wanting to die on several occasions.

There have been several suicide incidents during the past year at the home which police have responded to.

Christensen faces three counts each of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery and aggravated unlawful restraint — all felonies, police said in a statement. Her bail was set at $1 million on Thursday. She is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 16, according to the paper.

Montgomery Police Chief Daniel Meyers said the children are now in the custody of Christensen’s father, because it “was determined by the court” to be “ the best place for the kids at this time.”

The three girls were taken to an area hospital for treatment, and released with minor injuries.

Hallelujah , the Lord giveth, the Lord taketh away.. Hallelujah brothers and sisters.. and the Lord will forgive you (in your own mind) for each evil you commit on your brothers and sisters.. do I hear a Hallelujah? Thank Thee Lord.. for this piece of work that committed an outrageous/horrendous act so she could be closer to you.. and have the flock pray for her(baa baa) Forgive thee she did not know what she was doing (a good psychologist is needed) ..Oh Lord – wave your hand from the heaven above..somewhere between the Sun and Pluto, bear left at Jupiter..make the Uranus cut off..

Religion where ones hopes and dreams are dashed, and where disillusioned dreams can become real.

“There have been several suicide incidents during the past year at the home which police have responded to”.

As much as I want to blame religion, I really think this is a mental health issue. Another health issue that is being over looked.

    • whatthe46 October 12th, 2014 at 17:50

this sounds like a domestic violence issue. they were going through a divorce, its not uncommon (unfortunately) for one of them to exact death on the children in order to punish the other. she just laid out a defense to get away with it, (or at least try) by using religion and delusions. its called the “insanity” defense. bullshit.

      • Mike Butkus Jr. October 12th, 2014 at 21:08

I will agree it is bullshit no matter how you slice it

Because he was a preacher, no one could treat his religious psychosis because it was seen as his deeply held beliefs therefore untouchable.
