Report: Snowden Living In Moscow With U.S. Girlfriend
Edward Snowden’s long-time girlfriend, Lindsay Mills, has reportedly followed him to Russia.
Click here for reuse options!The couple was reunited in Moscow, which granted a three-year asylum residency to Snowden after he leaked classified information from the National Security Agency starting in June 2013.
His girlfriend, Lindsay Mills, moved into his apartment in the Russian capital in July, a detail that was revealed in the new documentary, “Citizenfour.”
Though Mills is not interviewed and does not speak in the film, directed by Laura Poitras, the revelation casts aside rumors that the pair had split or that Snowden had abandoned her…
“It’s a tough situation,” Snowden says to the camera after telling his significant other he “may not be coming back.”
“She has no idea (what I’m doing),” he continues, referring to his disappearance shortly before suspicious authorities turned up at their home.
Snowden praised his loyal partner on Saturday during an online interview with The New Yorker.
“It was an incredible reunion because she understood and that meant a lot to me,” Snowden said of reconnecting with Mills, who never talked to media after the leaks.
