Watch: That Moment CT. Gov Slams National Review As ‘Right-Wing Tea Bag Organization’

After the Conservative outlet National Review Online deemed Gov. Dannel Malloy (D) to be the worst governor in the nation, the Connecticut Governor had some choice words for the website during a debate.

Malloy’s challenger, Tom Foley, asked during Thursday’s debate, “When are you going to take some responsibility for the fact that your policies have not worked.” He added, “We have the lowest growth rate of any state in the country, and as I said you were recently rated the worst governor in the United States of America.”

Talking Points Memo reports, “Malloy was “rated” as such in an article published by the conservative magazine earlier this week, but Foley left the sourcing to the incumbent.”

“Tom, the publication you’re talking about is a right-wing tea bag organization,” Malloy said. “You know it. I let you repeat the same story twice. Why don’t you tell the whole story when you tell stories?”

Watch:

National Review contributing editor Jim Geraghty wasn’t too pleased with the Governor’s remarks.

Actually, the term ‘Teabagger’ was embraced by Tea Partiers until they realized it was a vulgar term. They built that.

Case in point, this image:

I try not to use the term even though the Tea Party used it in regards to its own movement. Still, National Review is pretty far out there.

CT guber candidate Foley’s promises revolve around renaming the nutmeg state the ‘tea bag’ state! While Gov. Malloy’s median job creation policies tell it like it is. Vs tea party Christie’s NJ that was 47th in jobs, trending lower after Trump Casino’s Atlantic City, NJ bankruptcy. This race is tight. http://elections.huffingtonpost.com/pollster/2014-connecticut-governor-foley-vs-malloy

Would love it if Obama started working teabaggers & teabagging into his speeches. He probably won’t though so we’ll have to rely on Biden to do it.
