Alabama Pastor Tells Congregation: I Have AIDS And Had Sex With Church Members

An Alabama pastor announced in a series of sermons that he has slept with members of the congregation without revealing that he has full-blown AIDS.

Pastor Juan Demetrius McFarland, with 23 years of leadership,  confessed to worshipers at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church on Sept. 14th, that he contracted HIV in 2003 and discovered in 2008 he had AIDS.

“The church was very accepting of Reverend McFarland and was willing to help him in any way possible,” a church member, who wanted to remain unnamed, explained, according to WBTV.

In addition, McFarland admitted to mishandling church funds and drug use.

“He concealed from the church that he had knowingly engaged in adultery in the church building with female members of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church while knowingly having AIDS,” church deacon Nathan Williams Jr. said.

McFarland was removed as church pastor on Oct. 5th.

“I know a young lady who is a member of the church who says she has slept with him and that she didn’t want this to go public, and she running out now trying to find out if there is anything wrong with her,” a church member explained. “And my heart goes out to her because she’s been a wonderful church member, and then for something like this to happen. The fact that he didn’t tell them at all. That’s a crime in itself.”

“He confessed to the entire membership and then to the City of Montgomery, because as soon as he got done confessing, it went all over Montgomery anyway,” Williams said. “So it’s nothing we [are] making up. It’s coming out of his mouth.”

Williams says leaders have obtained legal counsel.

“Our moves are going to come directly from counsel. We want peace and we want to do things right, legally,” Williams said. “We are not looking to hurt him. We are looking to get the church back. That’s our theme: Get the church back. We want the church back. That’s it.”

Some members want a trial.

“I believe that he should be put on trial,” another unnamed church member said. “Go to court and let the judge decide if he should go to jail or not. We tend to sweep things under the rug, especially if they’re the leader. It’s like oh, no, please let’s not get this out but I think after this that they will have more discussions on HIV and AIDS.”

I’m sorry–I’m just laughing and crying too hard. Hypocritical assholes.

Is McFarland terminal and at the end? Is that why he is coming out now with this?

Because in the ideas of his “faith” he knows he will be condemned as a liar and murderer. As all who find the doors of mortality closing he scrapes to find purchase at the table of heaven.

“too much heaven on their minds” not nearly enough science and reason. I’ll say it…The black populace would do well to turn from the thought prisons of superstition and religion and focus more on cultivating their minds and hearts to the real and living world. Attention black folk…NO good can come from a system that never had a place for you.

That took a series of sermons? What, did he devote one to a person? “Come back next Sunday to find out who else I may have infected!”

“Survivor” drags out inane stuff for a whole year, why not his own version?

Did he and DuckGhazi Phil Robertson swap bible parables… Is that why Robertson came out yesterday in favor of any kind of pedophilia, incest and sex, as long as it’s in the Bible?

Religion is nothing more than a money making scheme, and pastors, priests, ministers, etc., are their “used car salesmen”.

Worse than used car salesmen. At least they give you something for your money…may be junk, but you have something tangible.

“Men of God” take money for something that’s free to everyone if so desired…a relationship with God.

Biggest con EVER perpetrated in the history of the world is organized religion.
