Kissing Congressman Does Family Values Ad

Posted by | September 22, 2014 18:10 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics Top Stories

Vance McAllister, vowed to leave Congress after being caught kissing a staffer on video, and is now running again after all, has an ad out with his long-suffering wife.

In the 30-second spot, the McAllisters sit side by side as the congressman’s wife Kelly says that she is “blessed to have a husband who owns up to his mistakes.”

And let’s not forget words like “Christian” “Conservative” and “family” which are focused-grouped into the spot.

    What on earth does she see in this douche.

      Money! Plus, she miss the cocktail parties.

      Kissing

      • burqa September 22nd, 2014 at 23:55

        Yes.

        As far as I know, that’s all that was on film. I have not heard of him admitting to a sexual affair. I hope it didn’t go that far and that the voters reject him. Then I could add him to my list of Republicans whose political careers were ruined by sex scandals in which they did not manage to get to Shangri-La. The list to date is:

        * Senator Bob Packwood
        * Senator John Tower
        * Representative Mark Foley
        * Deputy Secretary of State Randall Tobias
        * Representative Jack Ryan
        * State Senator Bob Allen
        * Senator “Wide Stance” Larry Craig
        * Representative Chris Lee

        Ryan is my favorite because his sexless sex scandal only involved Ryan and his wife.

    The irony of the story. Make sure there are no cameras around; next time.

    “…congressman’s wife Kelly says that she is “blessed to have a husband who owns up to his mistakes.” So, she does not have to be around him when he’s in D.C. mucking up our democracy.

      That’s ‘mucking’ with a capital F…..

    This disgusts me.

    What disgusts me more is how many will buy into their B.S. and vote for him.

    • burqa September 22nd, 2014 at 23:43

      If Bill Clinton could have run in 2000, I would have voted for him.

    Republicans, slow to learn and easy to dupe.

    • searambler September 22nd, 2014 at 19:34

      Well, they sent David Vitter back to Congress after his hooker scandal. Apparently sexcapades are only terminal if you’re a Dem…..

      • neworleans878 September 22nd, 2014 at 20:01

        That’s cause they’re forgiven, praise Jesus, unlike them heathen Democrats!

    And yet the right bitches about Bill Clinton, Eliot Spitzer, and John Edwards.

    • Carla Akins September 22nd, 2014 at 20:33

      In all fairness, I still bitch about John Edwards.

      • neworleans878 September 22nd, 2014 at 21:09

        So do I. He was the lowest of the low on that one.

      • burqa September 22nd, 2014 at 23:39

        I do too, Ms. Akins. Edwards really let me down. Superstar Bill Clinton likewise let me down.
        Because I was invested in them, the disappointment seems greater.

    • burqa September 22nd, 2014 at 23:35

      Indeed, and therein lies the larger issue.
      Both sides hypocritically accuse the other of hypocrisy.
      Those doing so remove themselves from serious consideration on the issue, in my opinion, because they have one set of standards for their side and a different set of standards for their political opponents.
      Consistency is called for.

      • Bunya September 23rd, 2014 at 16:06

        Really?? How many democrats, who have claimed to be our moral superiors, have been caught with their pants down? Note: I said “who have claimed to be our moral superiors”.

      • Bunya September 23rd, 2014 at 16:13

        P.S. Please see William’s reference to David “diaperman” Vitter below. In case you’ve forgotten about him, he’s the one who ran on family and Christian values. I gotta admit, if having extramarital sex with a prostitute who changes your crap filled diaper passes for Christian values, I’ll pass on your religion.

    Oxymoron is easily defined by those feigning last centuries “Christian” “Conservative” and “family” values hypocrites. Mark Sanford / Herb Cain until 2016~

    Now, I’m no expert on looks, but this guy is no Paul Newman. I can’t believe somebody can be so hard up that they would actually sleep with him! Yuck! He reminds me of herpes.

    • Obewon September 22nd, 2014 at 22:41

      His wife Kelly looks and sounds truly pissed off! Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned by a Louisiana duck worshiper.

    • Kingminnie September 22nd, 2014 at 23:01

      It’s not looks in most cases. It’s how powerful one thinks he/she may be, and what that person can do for you. My best example? Newt Gingrich. He’s a big “Ewwwwww!” to me and look at his history.

      • burqa September 22nd, 2014 at 23:30

        I’ll see your Nyewt Gingrich and raise you a Henry Kissinger…

    • DaddyO_969 September 23rd, 2014 at 08:40

      Stop. You’ll give herpes a bad name.
