Republicans Had GPS Secretly Placed On Democratic Assemblyman’s Car

They were trying to prove that he didn’t live in the Long Island district he represents.

In what many say is an alarming first, a private eye hired by Assembly Republicans placed a GPS device on a Long Island assemblyman’s car for two months in an unsuccessful effort to prove the pol didn’t live in his district.

According to court transcripts, investigator Adam Rosenblatt said he was hired in March by attorney James Walsh, repping the Assembly Republican Campaign Committee, to find out where Assemblyman Edward Hennessey (D-Suffolk) actually lives. Walsh that same month was paid $3,000 by the GOP campaign committee.

Rosenblatt testified about his actions at a hearing last month in which Republicans unsuccessfully sought to bounce Hennessey, who is seeking reelection, from the race.

The private eye said he initially informally scoped out three properties linked to Hennessey, ran various license plates at the properties and accessed public surveillance footage.

After determining that Hennessey, a lawyer, would be at the Central Islip court complex on a Friday afternoon, Rosenblatt said he waited for him to go inside before attaching a GPS tracking device to the underside of his vehicle.

Rosenblatt said the small unit was in place from April 4 through June 7. He set it up to send him a text or email any time the vehicle drove over 55 mph or entered zones around the three properties tied to Hennessey.

And Repubs wonder why they have barely 2 Boehner House reps in the entire North East! Here are the 10 incumbents most likely to lose this fall: #1 (R-Staten Island NY) Michael Grimm. The Grimm trial over business frauds and $1 million+ IRS tax frauds won’t begin until after the Nov 4th election. Former New York City council member Domenic Recchia (D-NY) is definitely the favorite in this swing Staten Island-based district. http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/size-of-republican-majority-remains-a-question-in-race-for-the-house/2014/09/07/af2c1a44-3695-11e4-8601-97ba88884ffd_story.html Repubs ‘God party’ is a criminal family, valueless party. Many can hardly wait for Dinesh D’Souza’s September bribery sentencing that his guilty plea pre-agreed not to contest 15 months+ in Prison:)

Sounds VERY REPUBLICAN. So WHO is committing voting fraud? Wasn’t there an instance where Mitt Romney tried voting from an incorrect address?
