Ferguson PD Video Backfires; Brown Seen Paying For Cigarillos

A hat tip to our good friends at AATTP and YouTube user Wango Tango. The Ferguson PD has a lot of explaining to do.

Ferguson police’s attempts to demonize Michael Brown, the unarmed African-American teen killed by Officer Darren Wilson, may have hit a small snag. The very video they released at the same time as they identified Wilson as the officer responsible for shooting Brown six times, including twice in the head, may show the opposite of what they…

I disagree with a lot of things on this site but it is not “total bs” nor are the people who frequent here.

That’s not to say there isn’t bs from time to time, but so what, there is bs on right-wing sites too.

Weather he stole them or paid for them, does not constitute being killed for it.

    • Penny August 19th, 2014 at 18:23

One thing does not seem to have anything to do with the other. Except to show either Michael Brown was a thief and Bully and victim in the after fact or just a victim. Obviously something went very wrong in Ferguson. Does anyone even know why the police were after Brown and his friend?? Cause if it wasn’t this and that was said early on that the officer didn’t know about this, but I wonder did Michael Brown when confronted by the officer decided to act like he did with this clerk in the store???

      • Diane Rickman Carder August 20th, 2014 at 10:28

The officer told Johnson and brown to get out of the middle of the street because Brown and johnson were obstructing traffic. He got a call about that time about the robbery. They thought he was stopping them for that and reacted by punching the officer repeatedly and going after his gun

        • Leysin August 25th, 2014 at 13:56

In your scenario you forgot to say that Brown unsuccessfully got the gun and started to run away when Officer Wilson recovered and started firing. Officer Wilson decided to shoot at an unarmed person while they were fleeing. Sorry we don’t allow cops to arbitrarily decide who they can kill.

      • Wendi Speigle August 20th, 2014 at 18:18

Well, I wonder how an OVER 6 foot tall man gets shot in the head TWICE. He must have already been on his knees, the officer has really really bad aim, or he WANTED him killed. seems fishy to me.

        • Leysin August 25th, 2014 at 13:49

That’s a good observation. Either Officer Wilson was aiming for a head shot or Brown’s head was already at the same level of the gun as Officer Wilson pulled the trigger. Naturally and properly a person firing a gun will have their arms straight out with legs apart for stability. At the natural firing position this would reasonable leave a person 6 ft. tall to get shot in the head if the head was somehow lowered. A tall man kneeling would position their head around shoulder level.

    • Cause_I_Can August 19th, 2014 at 20:02

It showed brown was aggressive he shoved that clerk like it was nothing. It supports the officers case brown came after him. probably thinking the cop was going to arrest him after stealing. Whats the motive for the cop randomly shooting the kid? Hey theres a black kid I should shoot him…unlikely

      • Wendi Speigle August 20th, 2014 at 18:18

So why was he shot in the HEAD TWICE.? he was over 6 foot tall, how does that happen…oh, maybe he was on his knees?

      • Leysin August 25th, 2014 at 13:38

Officer Wilson killed Mike Brown because he could not imagine some black kids disobeying his orders or escaping his captivity so he shot him to death.

        • Cause_I_Can August 25th, 2014 at 18:46

Im willing to bet you dont know him personally and are only commenting out of misplaced anger over a situation you did not witness and are only angry because everyone else is angry and everyone else is angry because of misplaced anger.

    • Diane Rickman Carder August 20th, 2014 at 10:25

      • Wendi Speigle August 20th, 2014 at 18:19

Give us a time on your video where the payment is clearly visible. I never saw Brown reach into his pocket for a wallet or money, I did not see any money in his hands behind his back when he approached the counter and his hands were empty when he entered the store according to the other video.

And even in your blog post, you state that “While it is difficult to be 100% certain…”

          • whatthe46 August 19th, 2014 at 20:55

dumbass? LOL!!! you poor pathetic little man. he was arrested for being black. 1/2 the cops on the force are not in their right minds and there have been 1000’s of young black males murdered because of their race by cops. just because you don’t want to accept that fact doesn’t make it go away. a white guy was shooting at the police and firefighters with an AK, yet they didn’t do anything other than arrest him. white boys are still considered choir boys when they attend universities and rape young white girls. but, that doesn’t bother you. get a grip. LOL dumbass, how original.

            • Diane Rickman Carder August 20th, 2014 at 10:22

              you are dumb as dirt

            • Chanel August 20th, 2014 at 12:47

There are more young black males murdered by other young black males. So someone needs to get a grip on why that is going on. Maybe black males should step up and join the force. I accept the fact that there is prejudice… I also accept the fact that it is in every race. Affirmative action… if a black person and a white person make the same exact grade on a test for a promotion guess who they will promote.. yea the black person. They will promote a minority over a white person because that is affirmative action. Talk about prejudice. It’s everywhere. It’s in every race. Racists everywhere and until every race can fix it, racism will continue forever… it’s how you handle it that matters. This looting and rioting is not helping the cause out at all. And be more mature about this debate then calling people names.

              • MindFire August 21st, 2014 at 10:13

Please brush up on your history. Because of the U.S. history of legalized oppression, African Americans have been forced to play serious catch up while Whites have thrived as a direct result of these wrong doings. Affirmative Action actually benefits White women more than anyone else. “Legacy” at some of the U.S’. finest Universities which gives preference to applicants based on their families history of attendance is Affirmative Action and situations similar to that are a part of White American life. African Americans are excluded from these avenues and suffer because of it.

              • rr184188 August 22nd, 2014 at 08:32

In addition to MindFire’s response, you may also want to look at statistics on those jobs that you reference. White males are still making more than their Black counterparts with the same qualifications in the same jobs. Affirmative action only takes us so far…racism still exists and still holds minority groups down. White males are still the ones that have the upper hand in almost every single aspect of American life.

The officer did not know he robbed the store- he stopped him for walking in the middle of the street.
Do police in your neck of the woods kill people for walking down the middle of the street?

          • sarcasatire August 20th, 2014 at 00:18

The autopsy showed no sign of a struggle and there was a bullet that went from back to front, which meant Mike brown was turned away.
And are we really to believe that someone would reach through a car window (on the left side), to try to snatch a gun from the officer’s RIGHT hip. Like, really? Like he was leaning in, reaching across the officers body, an able bodied man, fighting for his weapon, yet there be no sign of struggle? On either of them. They released pics of Zimmerman’s bruises the same day. An intense struggle for a weapon, with big, bad Mike brown of the strong armed robbery, through a glass and metal door, and the police officer had not a scratch on him? Sound plausible?

            • Diane Rickman Carder August 20th, 2014 at 10:20

wrong—no bullet from back to front, all shots were from the front. first in the arm to wound but Brown kept coming. He got himself killed. The officer had a blown orbit!!!

              • raincheck August 21st, 2014 at 06:22

Wrong- He had one wound (graze) that could have come from the front OR the back. As far as the Officer having a “blown orbit!!” You never see the Officer feel around for damage to his eye, which would seem natural to me.. there is NO “proof” Mr.Brown “kept coming” It doesn’t make any sense, that a person would “charge” into the direction of where the bullets were coming from. Some witnesses claim that the Officer was chasing Mr. Brown (while shooting at him) AND that Mr Brown was running from the Officer… With all of the ms-information/distractions/withholding info comming from the FPD. Have you seen the actual x-ray of the “blown orbit”? If people want to bring in video’s that REALLY ARE

              • raincheck August 21st, 2014 at 06:57

“first in the arm to wound but Brown kept coming”? WTF?… You’re actually saying, the Officer made an attempt to wound Mr Brown, but because Mr Brown kept coming.. the Officer had no choice… Mr Brown FORCED the Officer to kill him?…You are more full of SH*T than a Christmas Turkey!!!

Seriously, that’s all the images for a young black man that lives in the hood? In 6 pictures provided showing his hand(s) (in a time where the captured image reigns supreme) I see two that could be called a gang sign. In another 2 he/they are simply flipping off the camera – and no non-gang related person ever does that. Sheesh. And I’m certain there are no images of Ofc. Wilson in his youth or during his down time that would be considered inappropriate. It’s nothing more than a campaign to smear the victim. Here are gang signs: http://northtownmud.org/docs/IPTM_Basic_Street_Gangs_Hand_Signs1.pdf

You must suffer from white guilt and cant accept the possibility that the officers story is true. Go there and help with the “protests” if you are so positive he is guilty…lets see how they welcome you with open arms

              • raincheck August 21st, 2014 at 08:21

I didn’t see any photo’s of the Officer “throwing up gang signs” either…. Just a video of him pacing around a dead (UN-armed) black man

                • phantasm76 August 21st, 2014 at 08:47

I will even look past the situation where supposedly the officer was beaten…you go ahead and kill someone and see how your demeanor is, highly doubt it will be calm

          • Leysin August 25th, 2014 at 12:11

Officer Wilson seemed to have kill Brown because Officer Wilson was not prepared, trained sufficiently, or equipped to handle asking a pair of black men to move out of the streets. If the officer felt in danger at anytime, he also failed to wait for backup or call into dispatch when engaging the suspects. This may be revealed in the trial but if not Officer Wilson has a lot of explaining to do. In every angle, every instance, and every picture based on just the facts, Officer Wilson failed at his duties in this instance and the actions that he took ended the life of Mike Brown.
Furthermore, the actions of the FPD afterwards was to cover up and spin the circumstance of the events in favor of their fellow officer. Only after persistence community out cry and protest have the FPD made any attempts to bring forth any official statement as to why an officer had to kill a young black man in broad daylight in the middle of the streets. Officer Wilson can claim to fear for his life and can try to justify his actions, but he still ultimately decided to end a person’s life at that moment and the Brown family can be adding to parents who had their kid killed by cops.

Our police officers are not supposed to shoot people down because of how they perceive him to be. They are supposed to use deadly action only if necessary. Stun guns and tazers are an actual thing.

            • Chanel August 20th, 2014 at 12:38

              Tazers kill people too.

              • Leysin August 25th, 2014 at 11:38

I’d rather take a taser in the arm than a bullet, so please stop trying to equate the two as equal. One is supposedly non-lethal and the other is lethal. Can you decide which one is which? If not your just to stupid to even talk to.

            • Diane Rickman Carder August 25th, 2014 at 17:19

no they are not suppose to shoot them unless it is self defense and it was. Tasars are not always realistic

    • Cause_I_Can August 19th, 2014 at 20:00

LOL!!! you poor pathetic little man. he was murdered for being black.

          • skohayes August 19th, 2014 at 21:21

            • phantasm76 August 21st, 2014 at 07:00

Like really ? I have to do your homework for you ? Michael Baden, the doctor hired by the family to do the autopsy, said that his results couldn’t conclude whether or not there was a struggle. Get your facts straight.

Quit pretending that this officer is a choir boy!!!

            • phantasm76 August 20th, 2014 at 21:30

Never said he was jackass, but you don’t see social pics of the officer throwing up gang signs.

              • Carla Akins August 20th, 2014 at 21:35

You have pictures of Michael Brown throwing gang signs?

                    • phantasm76 August 21st, 2014 at 08:52

Show me some of officer wilson then, and I am not gang related and I have pics and not one of them in my youth show me giving the finger to anyone…grasping at straws are we ?

          • raincheck August 21st, 2014 at 07:36

I guess you haven’t seen the video of the unhinged/unbalanced/over the top angry Cop leveling his weapon at members of the Press, and others… saying… “I will fucking kill you” and then when asked what his name was he replied “go fuck yourself” if he would do this in front of the camera’s, what would one of them do without the camera’s there to capture it all?… I can just hear it now… “He was having a tough day” “He’s been under a lot of stress” So I will say preemptively Bullshit!!! ….”Sorry, but no officer in their right mind would shoot someone just for being black” You are absolutely right!!… (No Officer in their RIGHT MIND… would… HOWEVER!!…. Perhaps you should get YOUR head out of your ASS. And stop pretending that ALL cops are in their right mind..

            • phantasm76 August 21st, 2014 at 08:48

Um ok…what does that have to do with the mike brown shooting ? That is an after the fact incodent…off topic much ?

              • raincheck August 21st, 2014 at 09:00

“Sorry, but no officer in their right mind would shoot someone just for being black.” I was responding to your comment.. which implies a cop would NEVER shoot a man because he was black.. by directing you to a video that shows a cop threatening to kill a member of the press for no apparent reason…please try to keep up!!

                • phantasm76 August 21st, 2014 at 09:04

Off topic much still ? Lets get back to the shooting huh ? Try and keep up

                    You’re being obtuse…

Ran out of discussion and had to resort to name calling huh, you must be a liberal. I am actually surprised you didn’t call me racist on top of being stupid

                    • raincheck August 21st, 2014 at 12:37

I didn’t call you a name.. is obtuse a name? I suggest you look it up… Now If I called you “Comic book Man” (phantasm?) lol THAT would be calling you a name! Aren’t you getting “Off topic”? I’m not interested in ANYTHING you have to say, so you’re wasting your time. If I wanted to call you a racist , I would have! As far as being a “Liberal”… well I could be called worse. “Ran out of discussion”? No… it just seems futile to try and engage you any further than I already have… go away! Go hump someone else’ leg.. Do you have some kind of drinking problem? Drugs? mental health issues?… See what you did? Now we’re really “off topic”…. PEACE!!

                    • phantasm76 August 22nd, 2014 at 22:21

My apologies…you must have been refering to me as obtuse..like the angle and clearly not the insulting definition of obtuse which says I lack intellegence, and lets not get on user names because yours must mean you had to take a raincheck the day personalities were handed out, but you have a nice day sir it was fun have a rational (yes I had to snicker while writing that) conversation

          • Leysin August 25th, 2014 at 13:25

Officer Wilson killed Mike Brown because he could not imagine some black guy from disobey his orders or escaping his captivity so he shot him to death.

          self defense

          • Leysin August 25th, 2014 at 13:26

It cease being self defense when the person is running away while you are aiming a gun at the fleeing suspect.

      • MindFire August 20th, 2014 at 00:13

Who the hell charges at a gun toting cop after they have been shooting? Really???

        • Diane Rickman Carder August 20th, 2014 at 10:18

an idiot thug who got shot

          • Anomaly 100 August 20th, 2014 at 10:35

Our police officers are not supposed to shoot people down because of how they perceive him to be. They are supposed to use deadly action only if necessary. Stun guns and tazers are an actual thing.

            • Chanel August 20th, 2014 at 12:38

              Tazers kill people too.

              • Leysin August 25th, 2014 at 11:38

I’d rather take a taser in the arm than a bullet, so please stop trying to equate the two as equal. One is supposedly non-lethal and the other is lethal. Can you decide which one is which? If not your just too stupid to even talk to.

            • Diane Rickman Carder August 25th, 2014 at 17:19

no they are not suppose to shoot them unless it is self defense and it was. Tasars are not always realistic

    • Cause_I_Can August 19th, 2014 at 20:00

The robbery shows he was aggressive, it shows he was willing to push around random people so it only helps the officers case for brown coming after him.

A lawyer for Mr. Johnson said that his client was interviewed by the F.B.I. and the St. Louis County police last week for nearly four hours. In that interview, Mr. Johnson admitted that he an…d Mr. Brown had stolen cigarillos from the store, said the lawyer, Freeman R. Bosley Jr.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/20/us/shooting-accounts-differ-as-holder-schedules-visit.html?ref=us

    • dave-dr-gonzo August 19th, 2014 at 23:59

The video completely undermines that claim. The way Bosley frames the report, it would not surprise me if the Ferguson cops pressured Johnson into a confession. I wouldn’t lend any credibility to Johnson’s “confession”.

      • Anomaly 100 August 20th, 2014 at 09:09

After the Central Park rapists were found out years later to be innocent, I don’t trust confessions anymore and especially from Ferguson.
