Tea Party Leader Asks God To ‘Be Violent’ Against Establishment Republicans

Roy Nicholson, who co-founded the Mississippi Tea Party, was speaking at an event featuring conservative journalist Charles Johnson. Nicholson gave the opening prayer where he beseeched God to act violently.

The Jackson Free Press reports:

At the beginning of the meeting, just after asking God in the opening prayer to “be violent against” the GOP establishment, Mississippi Tea Party Chairman Roy Nicholson thanked Johnson for getting “down in that dirty, muddy trench and exposing a lot of truth” in Mississippi politics.

Coming from California, Johnson made a splash in Mississippi this election cycle with the launch of his online news outlet, GotNews.com, which exposed the allegedly corrupt election practices of the Cochran-McDaniel U.S. Senate race. Only, he didn’t just cover the controversy, he became it.

Curious. The Christian conservative’s perception of God appears to be one of a thin-skinned, petty, spiteful, ego-centric, malevolent, abusive, micro-managing sadist — with a regard for mankind somewhat akin to how many of them treat their wives.

They have created God in their own image.

and what’s new – this specific deity has been playing with humans since he made the dim little figures who think they are above other life forms. This god ain’t nice, never was, and sure as hell isn’t gonna change.

Yes and so do the arrogant, insulting, contemptuous, intolerant atheists who often, including today, inhabit Liberaland to spew their rude, nasty revilements at the 90+% of us who believe in and worship God. They are no different than the bible-thumping religious right bigots and just as ill-mannered and dumb.

Praying for the annihilation of others for selfish reasons? Sounds like something a republican christchun would want.

The trouble with the TeaPartiers is that they think they are having a religious experience saying they hear the voice of God, when -in reality- those voices they hear, are the echoes reverberating inside their empty heads
