FBI Taking Over Investigation Into Police Shooting Death Of Ferguson Teen
Police say the FBI is taking over the investigation of an officer who fatally shot an unarmed black teenager in Ferguson, Missouri.
According to KMBC, Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson told the Associated Press that he was informed on Monday that the FBI will be taking over the investigation into the death of 18-year-old Michael Brown.
Jackson says he welcomes the move.
According to police, the teen was shot multiple times Saturday in a scuffle with an officer over a gun. Eyewitness accounts seem to contradict that allegation.
According to the AP, nearly three dozen people were arrested on Sunday night amid the protests which escalated into instances of violence, though the area was relatively quiet by early Monday.

I don’t trust the FBI either but that’s better than Ferguson PD. I guess that PD wants to be with the big boys – LA, Denver, NYC, Albuquerque and any PD that shoots unarmed citizens

I agree with MissA. I do not trust local police departments who apparently believe they can shoot and kill anyone, break into people’s homes by mistake and shoot their pets “because”, and get away with their militarization of our communities.
There are good cops – but the BAD cops are horrible. Evidently no one is screening these people for mental illness, sociopathy, PTSD or any other defect that causes them to kill willfully because “they can”.
Many local police in this country kill way too easily, with no accountability. And most of them target the African American communities. Again .. because “they can”.

I’m of the opinion that the FBI will no doubt back the locals in much the same manner as in the FAILED WHITE RACIST REPUBLICAN BACKED REVOLUTION in Bundyland, Nevada – with 100% of their effort finding ZERO FAULT for any upset white or anyone having a white male Florida DL. It’s just standard procedure per standard ethics of an overly WHITE US Congress.

In comparing vehicle stop statistics for Ferguson, it’s worth noting that 29.3% of the population is white, while 67.4% is black. There’s still a disparity (with 12% total stops for whites and 86% total stops for blacks), but it brings it closer in line with reality for those who would think the place was equally distributed demographically.

Vehicle stop stats. Out of a total of 4909 citations issued, 4257 of them were issued to black citizens.
Perhaps you can provide a statistic that gives us the total number of BLACK police officers vs WHITE police officers in this community? And who issues what tickets, makes what stops. Why were there no cameras on the police cars? Why no dash cams? Why no cop cams?
Contraband HIT rate: 34% WHITE and 21% BLACK. So WHITES actually have more contraband than the blacks and yet the search rate and arrest rate were double for blacks.

Is there any comp years that would show how they’ve run prior? And I would like to see how many Black officers vs. White if the population of Ferguson is predominantly Black. Let’s be honest here. There is a group of militarized weaponized local police departments who believe it is their right to kill people they don’t like or approve of. It’s why so many victims are shot in the back. It’s what happens when you put racist white cops on the street and arm them (with no supporting documentation) and send them into black communities knowing they will not be held responsible for anything they do.
The fact that Ferguson is a high black population is symptomatic of why these things are happening.
Our police no longer protect and serve. They kill – they even kill the wrong people after they have killed people’s pets because they have broken into the wrong house at the wrong address. Because they CAN and they know they will not be held responsible. They will be put on fullpay desk duty until the black community buries their young and then turned loose on the population again.

This is the mindset of the local police agency that handles one of the largest counties in the US. This man has cost the country over $40 MILLION dollars due to his officers killing innocent people. So far. Most of them hispanic .. and most of them having NOT been tried or convicted of any crime.
Browns are disposable human beings .. just like the black community. It’s just whatever state you are in and how much they hate “the others”.

After the Treyvon Martin murder nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to black and white. This stupid idea of arming everyone has turned our country crazy and no one, even the police need to be held accountable.. guns – guns – guns! How many of the current police forces are ex-military and have PTSD? They were trained to kill. Are we giving them a license to kill at will because they look different from “us”? There are a lot of sick people out there carrying guns that should never have one….including peace officers and many, many others!
