#OpFerguson: Anonymous Responds To Mike Brown’s Shooting Death By Police

Posted by | August 10, 2014 21:18 | Filed under: Politics Top Stories

The fatal shooting of a teen on Saturday afternoon by a Ferguson, Missouri police officer outside an apartment complex sent angry residents into the street, and now, the incident has caught the attention of Anonymous.

Michael Brown, 18, was shot down while unarmed, a stark reminder of all of the young black men and women whose lives have been recklessly taken from their families and from society. Mike Brown was to start college next week. Instead, his family will have to plan his funeral services.

If any police abuse is directed toward the protesters in Ferguson, Anonymous vows retribution.

The news release on pastebin reads in part:

Anonymous demands that the Congressional Representatives and Senators from Missouri introduce legislation entitled “Mike Brown’s Law” that will set strict national standards for police conduct in the USA. We further demand that this new law include specific language to grant the victims of police violence the same rights and prerogatives that are already enjoyed nationwide by the victims of other violent criminals. The Equal Protection clause of the US Constitution demands nothing less.

To the good people of Ferguson, take heart – and take your streets. You are not alone, we will support you in every way possible. Occupy every square inch of your city. Open your homes and help in any way you can the protesters who will come to your city from every part of Missouri and the USA. Businesses and householders that are near protest rallies, open your WiFi routers so that live streamers and other independent journalists can use the Internet connections. Feed each other, keep each other safe – and stay in the streets until we are totally victorious in all our demands.

To the Ferguson Police Department and any other jurisdictions who are deployed to the protests: we are watching you very closely. If you abuse, harass – or harm in any way the protesters in Ferguson we will take every web based asset of your departments and governments off line. That is not a threat, it is a promise. If you attack the protesters, we will attack every server and computer you have. We will dox and release the personal information on every single member of the Ferguson Police Department, as well as any other jurisdiction that participates in the abuse. We will seize all your databases and E-Mail spools and dump them on the Internet. This is your only warning.

(My bold)

The message concludes, “The time has come for more than simple justice for these atrocities. The time has come to draw a line in the sand and say “no more dead kids”, no more police killings and beatings. Anonymous is drawing a line in the sand, and that line runs right down the middle of Main Street Ferguson, Missouri. Police impunity ends with the barbaric death of Mike Brown.”

It could be your kid next.

Don’t mess with Anonymous.

Oh thank God, the internet is here to save us. Perhaps Longcat will come out of retirement and also demand a bill on the subject? Heck why not have all of the old Fourtran crew reunite and show up in Guy Faux mask. Oh wait they already did that. It’s called Anonymous. “We are legion. You will hear from us . . . as soon as mom goes to bed because she keeps the TV too loud.”

      Are you serious? Remember Steubenville?

I do. I also remeber the time they posted a link to my freind’s funny Facebook like page asking people to flood it with negative spam and claimed he was making jokes about child molestation. I was an Admin on that page and there was no such joke. It turned out that he had a made a comment on their website that was too pro Isreal for them and this was their revenge. They are also a haven for 9-11 conspiricy nuts and chem trail lunacy. Agree or disagree with them I think they do more harm than good.If you have to swallow either their whole platform or be considered their enemy I would rather be their enemy.

There are different factions of Anonymous. I don’t agree with everything some of them do, but that’s just “some of them.”

I feel that way about . . .well just about everyone.

Vigilantes suck. We don’t need them here in these United States, thankyouverymuch.

Dissent is not vigilantism. It’s dissent and the actions of Anonymous in the past have brought attention to matters which would have been swept under the rug, thankyouverymuch.

They have already heeded some of Anonymous’ advice. “Feed each other” which they interpreted as loot and destroy convenience stores. This one puzzles me, “open your WiFi routers so that live streamers and other independent journalists can use the Internet connections” If the people of this area has already been victimized, why would you encourage them to further expose their security by making their wifi connections public?

    • R.J. Carter August 11th, 2014 at 09:58

I’m sure stealing crates of Barefoot Wine from the QT before they burned it down was meant to be a gift to the family, so that the alcohol could better help them deal with the grief of losing their son.

Although I haven’t figured out what the bald guy stealing hair extensions from the beauty supply store was all about.

      Thanks, #OpFerguson!

So you are implying that the FAMILY looted and burned the store? Got photos?
