The General who lost his life in Afghanistan has now been identified.

Army Maj. Gen. Harold J. Greene, of Falls Church, Va., is the highest-ranking member of the U.S. military to die in the line of duty since the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. He was the deputy commanding general for the Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan and was making a routine visit to a training facility when he was shot dead.

Greene, 55, was commissioned as an engineer officer in the Army in 1980 after earning an undergraduate degree at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York state. In addition to serving in Afghanistan, he had also deployed to Iraq.

Less than 200 al-Qaeda have remained in Afghanistan following 13 years of America’s longest war. Karzai’s corruption is endemic as Afghanistan returned to the globes top supplier of heroin during our tenure there. The sooner the USA leaves the better.

You state, “How do you ask a man to be the last man to die for a mistake?” Obamski does it over and over with our Border Agents.

Half of the 9,800 troops will be out of Afghanistan by the end of 2015 and those troops that remain are scheduled to exit the country by the end of 2016. Surveillance via armed U.S. drones can keep any enemies at bay without requiring our boots on the ground.
