I can hardly wait to see them bring all this “lawlessness” into the courtroom…I can hear the judge laughing now. Hopefully they will be at their most ridiculous right before the midterms. Bring it on, fools!

It’s perfectly within the rights of the POTUS to change any law he signed into law. It’s the retroactive line-item veto with amendment powers, outlined in the Constitution… somewhere.

    • John Tarter July 30th, 2014 at 12:02

No it isn’t. Would it be okay for a Republican president to change any part of the Americans with Disabities Law? Nope. Now stop being a sycophant and stand up for the Constitution. We have three distinct but equal branches o f government. Congress makes the laws and the president enforces them AS WRITTEN.

Hi. I don’t mean to alarm you, but I noticed your sarcasm-detector is flashing its “low battery” indicator. You might want to pop some new ones in, then re-read what I wrote as if it were written by a conservative (because it was). Thanks!

I’m sure that you strenuously when the war criminal W signed all those Executive Orders way back then, didn’t you.

” Would it be okay for a Republican president to change any part of the Americans with Disabities Law?

        Sure.
If it made the Law better why not?

Isn’t that just what W did with Medicare part D?

        Or don’t you know?

    • tiredoftea July 30th, 2014 at 13:49

Of course. It was in the Oval Office desk draw right where W left it for him.

To be fair, Nicolas Cage had to show him where the secret panel was to unlock the drawer.

What the less loony members of his party are actually looking for is enough subpoena power to continually investigate the executive branch until they can find some semi-related item they can back him into a corner and make him less effective in his last two years. Impeachment is the umbrella used to justify endless investigations.

    • mea_mark July 30th, 2014 at 11:44

      And avoid doing their jobs.

Roll the tape from the Clinton years.

Specifics please. Empty partisan rhetoric is nothing but diversion from the work that should be getting done. If you have nothing, please shut-up and do your job.

    • John Tarter July 30th, 2014 at 11:56

Specific? Changing laws enacted by the Congress. Health care and immigration are two places where he has exceeded his authority. Don’t believe me, just ask liberal professor Jonathan T u r l e y.

      • Obewon July 30th, 2014 at 12:04

Where were you Wayout-Tarter when GWB changed the Medicare Part D laws and delayed the rollout and implementation?

      • M A G July 30th, 2014 at 12:07

He changed no law. He suspended implementation of one aspect of the bill, which is under his power to do.

        But thanks for playing.

      • arc99 July 30th, 2014 at 15:06

As is so often the case with Obama-haters, you present a talking point parroted in right wing blogs with absolutely no reference to the source you are citing.

here is what Mr. Turley said. he is definitively not endorsing or advocating impeachment.

but thank you for demonstrating once again how facts have little bearing on the opinions of so many who hate the President.

        http://jonathanturley.org/2013/12/04/a-different-hearing-or-different-elephant-washington-post-portrays-republicans-at-presidential-abuse-hearing-as-impeachment-obsessed/

During the hearing, not only did I discount impeachment as an option, but a Democratic member specifically asked the panel about the references to impeachment. No one could remember how it came up but it was clear that no one thought it was a substantial issue — or significant part of the hearing.

The obvious bemused counter is of course which law specifically, which question you have been ducking for hours now.

        You’re drunk, go home, Sarah.

It’s just like he said, no impeachment DESPITE the fact that Obama has violated the Constitution. In a just world Obama would be thrown out of office, but things are quite topsy survey as everyone can see.

    • Obewon July 30th, 2014 at 12:00

Lol.That’s why Issa has “0 indictments” following 50 weeks of hearings per year. “everyone can see”-Tarter’s gullibility is dictated by misinformed entertainers leading him over the same cliff every day e.g. “No Laws were broken”-Inspector General IRS report, etc.

    • ChrisVosburg July 30th, 2014 at 15:18

This begs the question: If it is the case, as you say, that Obama has violated the constitution, then why are Republicans not impeaching him?

Why don’t they put up or shut up? Why, John, why?

      • tiredoftea July 30th, 2014 at 16:28

These repubs always get their 43rd and 44th presidential admin facts mixed up! Issa and King are sure to investigate 2001-2008 torture violating UCMJ, UN & U.S. Treaties, plus the 2008 NSA expansions ignoring the previously illegal abuses of power, right?
