Short Truce Ends As Hamas Fires At Israel

The 12-hour humanitarian window ended as Hamas fired at Israel from Gaza before a longer-term truce could be arranged.

The rocket fire came shortly after Israel announced it would extend the humanitarian ceasefire for another four hours, as its security cabinet debated whether to press on with the 19-day operation.

The conflict has claimed more than 1,000 Palestinian lives, most of them civilians, and has killed 40 Israeli soldiers as well as three civilians inside Israel…

Israel said it had extended the ceasefire for another four hours, but Hamas refused to comment.

Shortly after the original 12-hour window closed, Hamas fired a barrage of rockets at Tel Aviv in central Israel, Ashkelon and Nachal Oz in the south.

Israel’s military said Gaza militants fired projectiles “despite the humanitarian truce being extended”, and insisted it would hold fire until midnight local time (2100 GMT).

I wonder how much the Palestinian people still support Hamas after their aggressive position against a superior force that is now bringing so much additional hardship to their lives because of that over aggressiveness. How long can they embrace war when they are clearly suffering more than their enemy. Why can’t they at least try and take the high road and appeal to the world for help in a state of peace? So disappointing.

I wonder if the Palestinians are willingly supporting Hamas. I have a feeling that they may fear retaliation if they dared to speak up against Hamas. This is a democracy in name only.

It’s time to call in the higher powers of the Universe to stop this. I call upon Archangels Michael, Raphael, Gabrielle, and Uriel, the Principalities, the Starpeople & the Galactics to shield the people of Palestine & Israel from further harm and to disable all of the bombs & weapons. All power to the Divine Mother of All to bring us peace across the planet. So it is now! You are the witness…

Too bad it wasn’t a permanent cease fire. I’m not sure I’ll see that in my lifetime.

Why does this not surprise me… Personally, I say the let IDF off their leash and go in hard. I am sorry that sounds cruel. But as long as HAMAS is in the area, there will never be peace. For all the good they do, they harm themselves and the Palestinian people even more.
