Is Sarah Palin Ok?
No, really. David at Crooks and Liars has video of a speech this week in Colorado which has us wondering. Usually, it’s word salad. This time, it’s a chopped salad.
We’ve edited down the rambling 30-minute-plus address on Saturday to the Western Conservative Summit, but you can get the drift just a few minutes in. And if nothing else, there were pink Obamas dancing across her teleprompter during the affair, judging by how often she kinda looked at her screen funny, wrinkled her nose, and rambled on.
All we can say is: Thanks, John McCain, for imperiling the nation with your astonishing lack of judgment.

I can’t get the video to play on my computer. But there is definitely wrong with someone who can’t speak coherently, especially when she is not yelling and shrieking. Even a child in elementary school can speak in clear sentences..

I don’t think Palin’s so much reading from the teleprompter screens as seeing goblins charge at her from the rafters of the venue. If I were her family (thank everything in the universe I am not), I’d be worried. As a distant observer, I find her alcohol-soaked antics amusing. Watch the video and pretend you’re watching a female Foster Brooks, except she’s actually a gin and tonic from liver failure.

I wonder if the alcohol she must have consumed, plus the altitude of the location made her even more drunk than usual. She seems more and more like the movie character Andy Griffith played. in the movie “A Face in the Crowd.”

I could see someone trying to rise to power in whatever way he or she could manipulate the public. I think some of the talk show moguls, who’ve made themselves millions, are like this. They would turn on a dime if they saw the money train slowing down.
