Michele Bachmann: ‘There’s A Chance I Could Run’

Posted by | July 23, 2014 09:15 | Filed under: Politics Top Stories

Don’t count Michele Bachmann out of the 2016 presidential race.

“The only thing that the media has speculated on is that it’s going to be various men that are running (in 2016),” Bachmann said in a new interview with Real Clear Politics. “They haven’t speculated, for instance, that I’m going to run. What if I decide to run? And there’s a chance I could run…

“Like with anything else, practice makes perfect,” she told RCP. “And I think if a person has gone through the process — for instance, I had gone through 15 presidential debates — it’s easy to see a person’s improvement going through that.”

There`s a better change you will be running a defense for corruption and wrongly using campaign moneys in your last run.

The dream ticket of Palin/Bachmann. Two people who have zero chance of winning yet can send the left into almost orgasmic fits of rage by simply the mention of their names.

    • mea_mark July 23rd, 2014 at 11:22

      You equate laughter with rage?

      • Anomaly 100 July 23rd, 2014 at 11:28

I’m not upset. I loves me some Bachmann.

        • BanditBasheert July 23rd, 2014 at 13:10

I do too – she’s a fruitcake – one glorious soundbite of stupidity after another.

      • Jeff Allen July 23rd, 2014 at 11:33

It eventually devolves into that. I am also including Twitter and other social media. It is interesting how much time the left invests in folks who are either insignificant, powerless, finished with their 15 minutes, or just plain irrelevant. You literally make some of these people rich by keeping interest in them high after their influence should have expired.

        • McMurphy July 23rd, 2014 at 11:42

Not just the left. How about the right and the media over Donald Trump?

          • Jeff Allen July 23rd, 2014 at 12:19

Point well taken, the right obsesses over has-beens and non-entities as well.

        • mea_mark July 23rd, 2014 at 11:52

If McCain had won and died and Palin had become president, that would instill rage. As it is, these people are more like morons parading around and showing off their foolishness and incompetence. It is easier to laugh at them than it is to get mad at them, at least until they get into a real position with lots of power that can’t be overridden with commonsense.

          • Jeff Allen July 23rd, 2014 at 12:21

If McCain had won? seriously? There was never a reasonable chance of that.

            • mea_mark July 23rd, 2014 at 12:32

That is exactly why we laugh and don’t go into rage. You just made my point for me.

              • Jeff Allen July 23rd, 2014 at 12:47

you maybe, but believe me, just the mention of those two names cause meltdowns of epic proportions. I may just be preaching to the wrong choir, my apologies.

                • BanditBasheert July 23rd, 2014 at 13:09

No it doesn’t – it causes great hilarity and the fervent wish that a ticket like that would happen. It would truly be a gift.

                • eaglesfanintn July 23rd, 2014 at 14:36

No, it makes us all wonder why their 15 minutes isn’t up. Why do right wing outlets keep parading Caribou Barbie out of the old prop closet. If she went away, we’d all just say “Finally, we’re done with her”. If people like Palin and Bachmann are so irrelevant why are they still paid to give speeches and to show up at events?

            • BanditBasheert July 23rd, 2014 at 13:08

Agree. The minute he picked Snowdrift Snookie, he was on a downward slide. He’s lucky he escaped with his life.

          • BanditBasheert July 23rd, 2014 at 13:08

He would have been found dead .. somehow. There was no way he would have lived out his term.

          • BanditBasheert July 23rd, 2014 at 13:20

If McCain had won and died, it would not instill rage. The Right would still be babbling like idiots and we’d all say “I told you so” –

        • arc99 July 23rd, 2014 at 12:40

the interview in question was conducted and published by Real Clear Politics. kindly explain how an interview conducted and published by a right-leaning political punditry website is indicative of what “the left” does or does not invest?

          • Jeff Allen July 23rd, 2014 at 12:45

Uhhh, I think I already did in the above post.

            • arc99 July 23rd, 2014 at 13:00

no you did not explain how an article published by a right-leaning website is indicative of the interests of the left.

a Twitter or other social media remark takes a few seconds.

setting up an interview requires hours or even days of coordination. a right-leaning website coordinating, conducting and publishing an interview with someone who by your own description is either “insignificant, powerless, finished with their 15 minutes, or just plain irrelevant” is indicative of nothing other than the priorities of that website, not the left.

so instead of railing against the left, why not criticize the people who are actually responsible for the stories that so offend you.

. head on over to the RCP website and demand to know why they are so invested in insignificant irrelevant people. here is the link to the comments section of the interview

              • Jeff Allen July 23rd, 2014 at 14:38

where did I claim to be offended? and you are supporting my original point.

          • BanditBasheert July 23rd, 2014 at 13:07

Do NOT attempt to confuse him with FACTS!!!!

        • BanditBasheert July 23rd, 2014 at 13:07

Jeff, if you find you can’t keep up with Twitter, perhaps it isn’t your schtick. It requires rapid thinking and response. Maybe you should try Instagram?

    • jasperjava July 23rd, 2014 at 12:34

What enrages ME is that there actually are people who VOTE for clowns like Bachmann, Palin, Paul Broun, Steve King, Louie Gohmert, etc.

In any other advanced country, these would be fringe candidates with single-digit support.

Some Americans, however, hate government so much that they are willing to elect extremists, psychopaths, and imbeciles out of spite, to wilfully sabotage the workings of government.

      • Jeff Allen July 23rd, 2014 at 12:55

I agree, folks who continually re-elect the likes of Charlie Rangel, Nancy Pelosi, Alan Grayson, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Harry Reid need to have their voting credentials called into question. Point well taken.

        • jasperjava July 23rd, 2014 at 13:03

So your point is that fine public servants like the ones you mention are equivalent to the crazies I listed.

No wonder the political process is so f#cked, when so many voters think that insanity and stupidity are political assets.

          • BanditBasheert July 23rd, 2014 at 13:05

Well said. Insanity and stupidity are political assets to the TeaBaggers because that is all they have. That and their need to indulge themselves in a christian crusade to try and convert everyone in the US to small minded hypocrites like they are.
Because to the “true conservatives”, nothing says Christ like starving kids and preventing people from health care.
If all these supposed Christians would actually READ what Jesus stood for, but wait, they’d need to have a brain first.

        • William July 23rd, 2014 at 13:13

So…lets see if we understand this. People who vote against the people YOU want to win should have their right to vote scrutinized? There is no longer any doubt in my mind why right wing Bozo’s like Putin so much.

          • Jeff Allen July 23rd, 2014 at 14:36

Nope, just putting up clown for clown

      • BanditBasheert July 23rd, 2014 at 13:02

Religious fundies pushing them Christo-fascist ideas off on the public. Who is soundly rejecting it.

    • William July 23rd, 2014 at 12:58

You have confused the term “fits of rage” with “fits of laughter”

      • BanditBasheert July 23rd, 2014 at 13:02

No kidding – that definitely needs a coffee-spitting warning.

        • William July 23rd, 2014 at 13:11

Keyboards are cheap, Palin Bachmann comedy is priceless.

      • Billy Jackson July 23rd, 2014 at 14:18

    • BanditBasheert July 23rd, 2014 at 13:01

Fits of rage? OMG we’d all be on the floor LOAO. The idea that between the two of them, their combined IQ is about -15.
It would be fascinating to see how many points they could lose by. I predict that Wile E Coyote and the Road Runner could get more votes than these two clowns.
