Chris Christie Removed This Awful Video In Which He Declares He’s ‘Choosing To Do What Is Right’

Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) released a video in his push for more cuts to state workers’ benefits, which didn’t go over too well.  The governor’s office released a trailer Tuesday for a fake/mock summer blockbuster movie titled, “No Pain. No Gain.”

Christie has since removed the video which we’ve included in this post.

Clips of Christie warning of an impending budget crisis are shown in the video with dramatic music and sound effects playing in the background.

Included are scenes of explosions, car chases and even a shot of action star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

The release comes ahead the first of a series of summer town hall meetings at which Christie will discuss “the impending fiscal crisis the growing entitlements of pension, health benefits and debt services are causing,” according to NBC News.

Watch:

“Choosing to do what is right…” Christie declares in the video, before taking it down.

H/T: The awesomeness of @ComgenKDT with thanks.

“Eat us alive”–“pain”–“gain”…. is Christie’s diet starting to overwhelm his thinking?

no, it really is a huge problem here. The past several governors and legislators have borrowed money against our state constitution with no way of paying it back.

The common joke around is Do you pay the Bridge tolls to escape New Jersey, or to enter New York. I live literally 50 miles from Manhattan. Between Gas, Tolls, and Parking it costs 100 dollars to drive in. And that is before you actually do anything. I live in a two bedroom town house, and my real estate taxes is over 7000 per year. I use to pay over 15,000 in the house that I sold.

As a New Jersey resident, I have to admit, that video was not the right message. But here is reality. .94 out of every dollar that comes in goes towards pensions, health benefits, and dept services. We already have some of the highest real estate taxes and state income tax. Taxing the rich has only been forcing them out, where we have the highest exit rate in the union.

He is not wrong. Something has to be done, and it cant be just on the backs of the wealthy and corporations.

“.94 out of every dollar that comes in goes towards pensions, health benefits, and dept services.”

If that money wasn’t going to people doing their job, where do you suppose it should be going?

Maybe Christie’s next career move could be to help Sam Brownback out of his fiscal disasters, they are two of a kind. Anyhoo, this dork complains about the cost of the pensions (among other entitlements), but has no problem using what funding used to keep the pensions, afloat for financing his political backers in the finance industry.

Why doesn’t Christie stop giving massive tax breaks to his corporate donor’s.
