Boykin: Bergdahl Is A Deserter Who Should Have Been Killed

Posted by | July 14, 2014 11:17 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics Top Stories

He is a deserter who should have been killed, just like Anwar al-Awlaki, the Family Research Council VP says. Boykin a former Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence under George W. Bush, was interviewed by Ginni Thomas, wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.

As Boykin sees it, the trade of five Taliban leaders in exchange for Bergdahl’s return was “so phony” because Bergdahl was a known deserter who was no different than al-Awlaki.

“Al-Awlaki was an American citizen,” Boykin said. “He was assassinated by the Obama administration because he was a traitor, he had turned on America. I’m glad he’s dead. I have no issue with that. But what’s the different between al-Awlaki and Bowe Bergdahl?”

Maybe I was off the day Bergdahl was declared guilty of desertion.

This is what the Soviet Union did under Stalin, so I suppose we should have expected it.

OMG! Any comedy teams wet dream has just risen! Boykin a former Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence under George W. Bush!
Was interviewed by green liberty foam helmut wearer Ginni Thomas! The three year $700,000+ Koch Bros beneficiary of $2M+ that SCROTUS Clarence “Forgot” for all 20 years to report any spousal income on as is required annually of ANY Federal & Supreme court judges!

GWB’s ingrates are really mad that the only U.S. Afghani POW is free. But OMG! Any entertainers lampoon dream has just risen: Boykin a former Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence under George W. Bush! Was interviewed by green liberty foam helmut wearer Ginni Thomas, the three year $700,000+ Koch Bros beneficiary of $2M+ that SCROTUS Clarence “Forgot” for all 20 years to report any spousal income on, as is required annually of ANY Federal & Supreme court judge.

“Family Research Council”-Boykin is obviously so far out of the defense intelligence loop he didn’t get the memo that U.S. combat in Afghanistan ends in December, 2014 and any untried unconvicted Gitmo detainees, must be released under the Geneva conventions & U.N. treaties for free, and that the USA remains bound by.

I don’t recall there Bergdahl going top trial for being a deserter, I am sure I would have heard it in the news. Or is Boykin just pulling supposed facts out of his ass?

    • Bianca Bradley July 14th, 2014 at 14:26

They are still investigating. Before they could investigate though, he needed to be stable. They can investigate now, that Bergdahl is returning to active duty.

YOu want to see worse, read Independent Journal Review.

Of COURSE Boykin thinks Bergdahl should’ve been killed. It’s par for the course for the Family Research Council, a fine, upstanding Christian organization that promotes killing.

The difference is, Al-Awlaki took up arms and threatened the US government, as well as conspiring with Al Qaida to harm and kill Americans here and overseas. Bowe Bergdahl on the other hand, was captured by the Taliban and was held in captivity. But of course, facts and context are anathema to right wing ideology.

SMH. Seriously, if you were not there, why the hell does ANYONE get to say anything about this guy. Since no one was there when he apparently went on a walk(whether or not he had intent is needed for a case, in one of the articles I read, by one of the investigators). He served 5 years as a POW, wth, I believe time served counts.

No one was there. Stop stop stop stop stop!!!!!!!!!!!!! degrading this man and arm chair quarterbacking. And this prior official to the military should know better. Virtually kicks him in the butt.

It’s also worth noting that the interviewer for this piece of dreck was one Ginni Thomas. Yes, that’d be the spouse of Clarence “I don’t ask questions, ever” Thomas, of the Supreme Court.

I don’t know about anyone else but there’s something profoundly inappropriate about the spouse of a Supreme Court justice being a reporter for a right-wing hack shop.
