Holder: Palin A Bad VP Candidate, ‘Even Worse Judge’ Of Impeachment

Posted by | July 13, 2014 13:18 | Filed under: Politics Top Stories

Attorney General Eric Holder commented on Sarah Palin’s call to impeach President Obama on ABC’s This Week.

“She wasn’t a particularly good Vice Presidential candidate, she’s an even worse judge of who ought to be impeached and why,” Holder said on This Week with George Stephanopoulos.

Shortly thereafter, the two GOP pundits on the panel dismissed calls for impeachment as coming from the irrelevant fringe of the party.

So says the only AG more corrupt than John Mitchell

    • NW10 July 13th, 2014 at 13:30

How is Holder “corrupt”? Let’s see verifiable proof of his being corrupt.

      • Shades July 13th, 2014 at 14:09

It’s safe in the BENGHAZI!! file. Now if they could just remember where they put it.

          BENGHAZI

          file?

John Mitchell was convicted of a felony and served a year and a half in a federal prison.

Whenever you are tempted to wonder why so many on the left unilaterally dismiss the opinions on the right as hysterical fairy tales, you may want to keep your post in mind as a prime example.

holder perjured himself under oath when he denied having anything to do with the wire tapping of James Rosen’s phones. His signature is on the approval for the warrant request. Holder also signed off on Fast And Furious that resulted in the death of Officer Brian Terry

        • Dwendt44 July 13th, 2014 at 14:24

And your proof of that would be….?

        • arc99 July 13th, 2014 at 14:32

First of all, AG Holder did not say he did not have anything to do with the wire tapping of Rosen’s phone. Your summary of events is flatly contradicted by the facts.

His testimony before Congress was that he had never heard of or been involved in prosecution of the press for publishing material.

The search warrant which was obtained under all applicable laws was part of the investigation into the activities of intelligence analyst Stephen Kim who has since pleaded guilty to leaking classified documents.

If the AG had been asked if any member of the press had been the subject of a search warrant in an investigation into the leaking of classified material, and Holder responded, “no” that would be perjury. No member of the press is being prosecuted in the Kim case. There was no perjury

and your Fast & Furious example is beyond ridiculous. 3,500+ men and women in uniform died in Iraq for nothing. who goes to prison for that?

but thanks for confirming the point of my first reply to you.

          http://investigations.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/05/23/18451142-doj-confirms-holder-okd-search-warrant-for-fox-news-reporters-emails

Justice officials have since said they do not intend to criminally charge Rosen, but media groups have condemned the issuance of the search warrant itself.

“HOLDER: Well, I would say this: With regard to the potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material, that is not something that I’ve ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be a wise policy.”

Um, the warrant Holder signed off on names Rosen as a Co-Conspiritor in disseminating classified material. So holder had nothing to do with obtaining a warrant in a criminal case where they told a judge Rosen was a co-conspirator in an ongoing criminal investigation? Don’t spin too hard, you might hurt yourself

            • arc99 July 14th, 2014 at 04:27

you are the one spinning. Mr Holder never said he had nothing to do with obtaining the warrant. your continued insistence on perpetrating a lie about his testimony further supports my initial post.

here is what AG Holder actually said. note that his actual words are not what you claim.

HOLDER: Well, I would say this: With regard to the potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material, that is not something that I’ve ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be a wise policy. In fact, my view is quite the opposite that, what I proposed during my confirmation, what the Obama administration supported during 2009 and I understand — I think Senator Schumer is now introducing a bill that we are going to support, as well — that the press should be — should have — there should be a shield law with regard to the press’s ability to the gather information and to disseminate it.

The — because the focus should be on those people who break their oaths and put the American people at risk, not reporters who gather this information. That should not be the focus of these investigations. [House Judiciary Committee hearing, 5/15/13, via Nexis]

          So lets see.
Benghazi, countless hearings, hours of testimony and no charges, no indictments.
          Fast and Furious, ditto.
          IRS ditto.
Shall we go on? Millions of dollars, stacks of paperwork, exhaustive investigations and not one single criminal charge.
Do we hold our breath or just understand that these non scandals are, as they have always been Latin for……
