Unions create adversarial work environments. I’ve never joined a union, but worked in split shops where the professionals were not in the union. The non-union people got treated better because dealing with the union workers were so ruled bound that management dealt with them very formally.
I think there is a law suit coming here. Let’s say someone has to take blood pressure medication… That makes you go to the bathroom more. So he/she lose the medication to save their job… That person risks a stroke. The company becomes liable for that man’s health and any blood pressure related illnesses. There’s a $500,000 judgement right there… Not counting pain and suffering and stress related pain (not going to the bathroom can cause anxiety)…
